Premo one of my favorite producers but let's not act like he fell off, although that Animals joint on Compton was dope.
The couple of records I heard from the new album sound ehhhh:yeshrug:

All I'll say is...what would happen if you gave Nas an album full of Premo beats in the 90s? Hov? Imagine that album and tell me it's not better than every Gangstar album.
:yeshrug:

RIP Guru, he a legend. But he's not on That level.
That's where you're wrong... because both emcees have legendary tracks NOT produced by Premier. So if you think they'd be in a better place with a Primo album those times you're smoking dust. Imagine being a better version of Jeru, or Guru and doing an album with Premier... I don't think they'd be anywhere close to where they are at now if they did that.

I am really interested in the making of this album and I hope i get to hear all about it during press junket. I've been waiting on this since he first mentioned it many years ago. I would occasionally get shot down in here by you guys for bringing it up. I wonder if he was able to get all the accapellas that he said he was waiting for when he first mentioned the project. 16 tracks with a couple of interludes seems full. Preme doesn't seem like the type t remix his own music but I wish he would remix a few older tracks

where did you order from? I ordered my Lost Tapes 2 album from Nas site and haven’t gotten it yet. I might have to wait to order mine from Amazon

www.wowhd.com.

I'm still waiting on Nas' album to arrive as well, apparently it shipped out last week.

It's crazy it took him so long to press up copies.

I'd love a documentary. I could watch Premo make tracks all day:manny:

So are these Guru vocals supposed to be outtakes from their previous albums or later era stuff recorded by someone else (Solar)? By Preme's own admission, the last time he talked to Guru was in 2004

When preme first announced he was going to do an album, he stated that he already had 5 unreleased songs from guru and the there were about 7 or 8 accapellas out there from European artist that were current for the time, which was 2010. He said that there were recently recorded and that those artist hadn’t completed the songs so they had given them to preme with their blessing to use for the posthumous album. If I was preme, I would’ve been scouring all the masters for any and every outtake, freestyle or ad-lib to add.

solaar could’ve probably made amends with us, Gang Starr fans, if he contributed something to the project by the way of unreleased vocals, outtakes, etc but I doubt if that happened. fukk him!

what I hope is that Preme is also doing the dvd he also promised in that article. I’d love to see that now or eventually with hopefully a look into the making of this album. That would be a great way to close the book on the gang Starr legacy.

I hate telling good people bad news. :wow: :mjcry:

Word to God, if Big and 'Pac was still here
Some of these weirdos wouldn't act so cavalier
We all know that the game has changed
It's crazy out here, rap's got a bad name
Think about it, what if bling never happened?
And the true artists were gettin' rich from rappin'
Word to God, somethin should give
Let's delete the politics so real hip-hop can live

Premo bodied that shyt, Guru killed it too. Feels like he wrote that verse yesterday to describe Hip Hop right now. This is the 1st time in a long time I'm actually anticipating a Posthumous LP. Premo's musical knowledge is crazy, he always know exactly what to scratch into a song. The sample Premo scratched from:
