Funny that Trump is significantly less prepared and has never been asked a question like that, and even if he was the media would make excuses.

Really? After everything that the two major-party candidates have done and said this election cycle, not knowing the third-largest city in Syria should disqualify Gary Johnson from being president? Really?

If Hillary Clinton were given a map of Syria in which Aleppo wasn't marked, I doubt she could point to it.

I think you are underestimating Hillary or any conventional candidate. She has a 30 second blurb ready to go about Aleppo and Mosul. And I think most people in foreign policy, including a former sec state can point it out if I can.

:beli: You can't be a casual CNN watcher or NYT reader and not know there's a city in Syria called Aleppo where a brutal humanitarian crisis is going on, and this clown is running for president.

Gary Johnson has always been garbage. He'd still be an establishment Republican if he wasn't a weedhead.

Wrong.

I don't care what these people really know. I want them to do less. Much less.

I don't want them in Syria.

I don't want them planning my life.

I don't want them taking my money.

I don't want them on my Tv station 24/7.

That may seem idealistic, but my standards for the presidency of this country are much lower than most of you guys because. . . Well. . . Fukk the president. Fukk the presidency as a title, position. It's power needs to be dramatically reduced.
That's completely irrelevant to what I am saying. The man is sitting there offering an opinion on the situation (a situation which has been all over the news for years now) without knowing shyt about it. That is unacceptable for a President, no matter how much involvement or power you want the office to have.

its not the third largest city in Syria bruh

it is THE largest city, in the most important geopolitical theatre today, where as we speak there are pitched battles between American allied rebels, Islamists, and the Syrian govt and its allies, AND an ongoing human rights disaster

That's fine, but the size of Aleppo really isn't the issue. The issue is whether knowing what Aleppo is somehow disqualifies Gary Johnson from the presidency. It's really not that big a deal. Much more important is Gary Johnson's approach to foreign policy in general, which is principled noninterventionism.

He pointed out more about its importance than just its size:aicmon:

Does being a non-interventionist preclude one from being knowledgeable about a major, ongoing world event? I don't get it. If that were his approach, I want an explanation on why his policy recommendation fits in each situation. Saying bullshyt about how we should not get involved in anything outside our borders (which is a ridiculous notion no matter what your foreign policy stance is) is just letting yourself off the hook for doing your homework.

The man himself said it was a blunder. Why the fukk are you out here :cape:ing for this nonsense?
