Directing all the attention to the employees in this case the players is so intellectually dishonest.

I see some fukk nikkas already running with that angle.

This is what is going to happen.

Sterling will sale and still be a racist billionaire who will simply allocate his wealth in other sectors of the economy. A group of racist (w/ a minority figurehead) will replace him as LA Clippers owners. The other 29 owners will be mostly racist. Most employers and institutions will still be racist. Blacks will think that is a success and not any of this will lead to Black capitalism, Black consciousness or Blacks owning Black culture. I hate fake outrage and obtuse solutions. This shyt aint new so stop acting like it.

I don't agree. Jim Brown, Ali, Jackie Robinson, Hank Aaron all played sports in this country. They would not take this lying down. Seems Chris Paul cares more about his wallet them then being black. Your a Seahawks fan. Can you see Kam Chancellor, Rich Sherman, Russell Wilson giving this limp poo response?

You do realize that we have racist remarks on record from tons of MLB, NFL, and NBA owners during that time period you named and guess what? The players all still played and got their money...I'm a historian breh so that look at historical examples shyt don't fly with me. Athletes are pawns of racial capitalism and always have been; Jim Brown played in a league where George Preston Marshall advocated segregation and black inferiority on a daily basis; Ali was a big time capitalist when he joined the Nation of Islam and even admitted that the only reason he toured to give speeches on black rights is because Elijah Muhammad told him to and because he needed the money...I love Jim Brown and Ali, but let's not get it twisted: they were about their money just like all athletes;

And yes, I think the players today would not respond like they should on Seahawks team...capitalism has corrupted them so deeply that they refuse to lose that money by boycotting and striking...

Pretty sure Magic wants to buy the clippers and he would be the majority stock holder.

good idea. but these nba players dont giove a fukk. as long as they get that check :wow:

exactly. that's my point. COuld you imagine the blowback that would happen if all the players in the palyoffs refused to take the court and play? The tv companies would sue, the owners would shyt themselves and go take out Sterling themselves lol; that would be huge victory if all black players refused to play this weekend, but capitalism makes the world go round unfortunately

Fair enough, maybe the writers tone is the problem, but I want more from our blacks in the public eye, can we agree?

Definitely I agree; I'm a big critic of athletes and race and capital; My work I write touches on it, as you saw with my post on Ali and the NOI. Athletes can really change how race and capital operate in this country if they really wanted to, but that money corrupted them; that doesn't make them cowards, that makes them expoited and oppressed pawns in a nasty system. They need to be woken up

I can tell nikkas didnt read the whole article.

He's 100% correct.

I also like the part where he wrote "If youve gotten this far, no, I dont actually think blacks are cowards, humans are cowards" yup. they sure as hell are. How else do you think we can go to war with a country that did nothing to us and not do a god damn thing. How is it a child is dead, and the killer is roaming around free.

Like dude said, black people, unlike other humans, can't afford to be cowards. brilliant piece. Bet a lot of nikkas dont even realize he's regurgitating what the late Malcolm used to preach, the second half is almost word for word lol. I have a feeling that was intentional to prove the point of 'present day nikkas' and the warriors we had before, seeing the reaction of how those back then would have responded to the speech and how new nikkas respond to the exact same speech now. :wow:

with that in mind, read the replies again. :wow:
tbh it's been 3 days breh and there is still audio that we haven't heard yet so chill before you go out riot

So how do we wake them up. LeBron is prepared to sit out, will others join?

Fair but when this forum is not talking about black women or bashing NY it's always about how pepole born after December 1989 are worthless idiots.

I don't say or believe that; I think the youth are vibrant and want to learn and can collectivize, but its up to us to work together with each other, get in the community, and educate each other through knowledge of the oppression and social movements against inequality. I believe in my people regardless of when they were born; I never bash our people because for us to have made it this far and still be fighting oppression, I'm proud of the black masses.
