Definitely I agree; I'm a big critic of athletes and race and capital; My work I write touches on it, as you saw with my post on Ali and the NOI. Athletes can really change how race and capital operate in this country if they really wanted to, but that money corrupted them; that doesn't make them cowards, that makes them expoited and oppressed pawns in a nasty system. They need to be woken up

LOL, I need you to explain how

we'll see who attends the Clippers game this week.......

Magic Johnson and his billionaire backers, the Guggenheim Partners, want a chance to purchase the Los Angeles Clippers, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
:mjpls:

and

The other 29 owners will be mostly racist. Most employers and institutions will still be racist. Blacks will think that is a success and not any of this will lead to Black capitalism, Black consciousness or Blacks owning Black culture. I hate fake outrage and obtuse solutions. This shyt aint new so stop acting like it.

still is true regardless of Magic's ownership

So how do we wake them up. LeBron is prepared to sit out, will others join?

it has to be collective. If all of the players sat out, or enough to disrupt the play of each game, it would crash so many markets in the country. NBA Playoffs is big, big money and the owners/NBA execs would oust Sterling with no hesitation if the players fukked up the money. Sure, the players would lose some money too, but that's the sacrifice they have to be willing to make; remember, capitalism cannot coincide with collectivism and teamwork; if the workers band together, they damage the mode and means of production; Marx wasn't lying there; the workers have to be willing to make the jump though

I don't see the "inches" in Magic part-owning The Clippers :manny:

The WHOLE league can boycott and Blacks could use this to springboard a dialogue Black capitalism, Black consciousness or Blacks owning Black culture. Anything else isn't good enough.

LOL, I need you to explain how

NFL, NBA, and MLB are global money makers in the billions. Even though I don't think it would ever happen, so this example is to show the power that the players (workers) have. If all the players of all 3 leagues went on strike the enture year, we are talking about a revenue crash that is so detrimental that it would shake up markets across the oceans...it would be devastating

Plus, if athletes, especially superstars with endorsements, began speaking out against oppression, it would definitely influence not only the youth, but others as well; the owners would hate it, but it would change alot. Athletes are given iconic status by the masses due to their ability to dominate in the sporting arena; Add in social commentary and social activism and you would have changing mindsets on the youth. its not just parents who are key role models, its also the figures that are propagandized through maqss media everyday; could you imagine if everytime you saw Lebron on tv he was speaking about blacks collectivizing to stop police brutality at all costs? Everyday? And his team? And blakc kids age 10-15 see this everyday? its sociological as well as psychological in its advantages over oppression;

it's so much more I can type on this, but ti could happen

Magic is the definition of all the above. Better look up his ownerships n the city, or how many black people he's employed. I've watched him transform south la after the riots.

maybe you think we should start our own league? ask vince mcmahon how easy that is, or trying to do that without media support. :heh: like I said, one step at a time. inches set up the next person which sets up the next person. Rome wasn't built in a day. I see all progression as positive, those that don't are debbie downers who are side liners. .

Post a blatantly c00nish shock statement to get more hits for your lame article, brehs

there's nothing c00nish about this article. it's completely on point. we are cowards. blacks are the joke of the universe. they're laughed at by every race. we're routinely mocked, and we love it. we make money participating in it. black people are a sick joke right now. white people piss on us. spit on us. shyt on us. and we don't do or say anything because we don't want to be called "angry" and turn away the white friends we made.

look at muslims in the middle east and how they're willing to DIE to oppose western imperialism. look at us. i'm ashamed of the black community in america. i'm beginning to understand why africans go :scusthov: at african americans. they're disgusted by us. and they have every reason to be.

and he's RIGHT about us boycotting ALL sports. if black people refused to play professional sports, racism in america would take a huge hit. they would have to respond, because they'd be losing BILLIONS. professional sports in america can't survive off white talent, because - truth be told - there really is no white talent.

don't get mad at the messenger. get mad at yourself.

I feel what you saying, but just because 1 black man becomes an owner of the mode and means of production doesn't mean that the other 99 aren't still wage workers...progress to you isn't necessarily progress for people who take home barely enough to feed their families while their work actually made the owners millions...

The fact that Magic had to wait this long and in this kind of situation to even have the *CHANCE* to own, tells me what I need to know

agree to disagree :manny:

We know you're anti-black...you are the coward that the article speaks of, not everyone else...we already know how you hate your own kind in this country and love your white friends...we get it..thanks for reiterating this again, and again, and again :camby:
