I think they are smarter and making better decisions.

There is no point in staying in a dead end job.

Level up your skills and pursue better employment as soon as possible at every given oppurtunity.
That makes sense. But most that I've encountered quit because of minor inconveniences like working on a day they wanted to take off. I used to think they had something else lined up or a bigger plan but a lot just do Uber/Lyft until some opportunity they feel works for them pops up. That's hustling backwards in my opinion.

I think most people would have an easier time if they got paid daily. Even getting paid weekly feels like a freaking SLOG to get through with how relatively useless to society most of these jobs people work full time at

that’s an interesting idea

I work in sales
:stopitslime:

the turnover rate is insane.
this is not sustainable tho :whoa: the future is uncertain
Ok breh I was bout to flame that ass up. These business practices not only fcking up their industry with the bullsht but the whole economy.

Jobs got high turnover rate that’s intended, designed to be that way. If you got hundreds of thousands or millions of people that that’s all the work experience they have and we all know ain’t no money in any of that, how they gonna fill high skilled, higher paid jobs in the future?

And the kids coming out of high school and college now damn near in a whole nother generation than Z. A lot Gen Zs are 25 and older already.

Their reward was more tangible too. Housing and cars were more affordable to the average consumer. Previous generations had a lot more light at the end of their tunnels.

ya…pops was making maybe about $40-50k in the late 70s/early 80s…and that was juuust enough to support a family of 4 with a house and car…and moms didn’t work…$40-50k now is a struggle even living by yourself…I should point out this was in NYC too which is CRAZY

Nah. They won’t. We will see if they will improve the work life balance. A lot of them are content to living in apartments with 2 other roommates, which helps cut down expenses.

Things already changing. We have WFH (before COVID). Look at all the things companies have done to entice younger workers and make them happy. shyt like ping pong tables in the break rooms, bring your dog to work day, being much looser on the 9-5 structure...hell look at dresscode now. They are little things but that wouldn't work without GenZ pushing the boundaries.

They have to look out for them as they become the biggest group of employees while GenX and boomers decline or leave the job market.

A smart employer would see the opportunity and make moves. It doesn't help to expect old boomer tactics to work on GenZ.
