Yeah, not going to do that. We told Progressives not to allow a madman into office, and they did it anyway.

It was prime stupidity, and I'm going to bring it up at every opportunity.

You can type the bolded because you're well off. What happens to poor people when Thanksgiving/Christmas rolls around, and they can't eat?
nikka, stop talking about the election last year. No one wanted this idiot back in the WH.

And thankfully I’m still employed. But this year was by far the most challenging of my professional career due to DOGE and Vought. My company was hit hard. My colleagues and friends in government are literally on the streets at bread lines. My neighbors too.

So I am not discounting suffering.

Answer me this. You don’t believe in using leverage on the CR? You would have just passed the CR??? So like Fetterman, Cortez Masto, and Angus King did?

What’s your philosophy?

Bruh, you quoted me at least 20 times over the past year about how much Biden, Kamala, and the Democrats sucked.

Thousands of people read this site. Your apathy influenced plenty of people, and I doubt you even voted for Kamala. Anybody can say anything online.

I think the Dems are in a shytty situation regardless....which is why adults didn't want Trump in office....what would YOU DO Robbie, if you were a Senator right now? I'm legitimately asking. What would YOU DO? You're in Washington right now, not on the Coli criticizing all day. Are you going to let millions starve for the holidays or keep the government shut down to force talks on subsidies? You're fukking over millions of people with either choice.

Simple. I would do what Bernie Sanders is doing and apparently 40 something democrats are planning to do which is not cave.

Not that I care about the politics, but The polls and recent elections have shown majority of Americans are on the Dem side. It’s good goddamn policy and politics.

The least that I would take is ACA funding for the next year. Let the Republicans make the case in the midterms that we should cut ACA subsidies.

Finally, I would ride a horse into the Democratic Caucus and give this speech.

There was way too much apathy towards Democrats in the HL last year and throughout the internet.

So, yes, @FAH1223, that apathy is why the turnout was so low, and why we're here right now with this idiot.

The theory of leveraging the resolution to get guarantees on subsidies makes sense. All I'm saying is it's easier said than done. Fetterman is a dikkhead, a Republican in hiding, and needs to get primaried, but I don't think Cortez Masto and Angus King are bad people. I think they're just worried about people who are struggling.

Someone in TLR made a good point that they can just get a short-term bill through to carry us through the holidays. If Republicans don't negotiate in good faith afterward, then close the government again. At least then, the optics of having no assistance during Thanksgiving and Christmas aren't there. And out of pure callousness, a holdout later would put us closer to midterm season, where people's memories won't be so short.

Aw Shucks Schumer needs to resign or at least be primaried in 2026. I said it in 2017 that he should not be the senate dem leader and holds true even more now.

They are ending this for something that probably won't pass? This is leftist fault some how.... I know it

Looks like the CR that the House passed will be passed by the Senate tonight. That only funds the government till the November 21.

But then the Senate will pass another CR that goes through January 30. They’ll also pass the bipartisan appropriations bills for USDA, the VA, Military Construction, and Congress itself…

The make the decision to shutdown the government over ACA subsidies. Now they are folding like envelopes.

And your beef is with me pointing that out? :mjlol:

SMDH.
These dudes will defend them as long as they have a democrat next to their name. Schumer is incompetent, and all the supposed centrist dems all need to go

Nobody with a working brain at this point should think that Schumer is anything but a double agent.
