They aren’t bad faith actors. They both invited Kamala onto their shows. They’ve both had very left leaning guests on and it wasn’t some trap.
Von and Rogan were both big Trump supporters, so you think Kamala spending an hour with right-leaning conspiracy playground podcasters would have done what exactly for her at the polls? As they bounce questions off her in regards to 2020 election results, Biden's health, covid lockdowns and vaccines.

Kamala wasn't winning any regular listeners of either of these shows over by appearing on them, their mind was already made up.

Campaign needed to maximize their time and message with existing Dem and likely Dem voters - they failed to effectively do that. But that outcome wouldn't have been swayed with sitting down with Rogan.

WHY DIDNT THESE DUMB fukkS RUN ENDLESS ADS ON TV AND SOCIAL MEDIA WITH THAT EXACT fukkING IMAGE DURING THE ELECTION?!!!!

SUCH INCOMPETENCE! :why::why:
I've been saying that since last November. They should've been running commercials nonstop in every swing state with the image of trump and Epstein and the quote about Epstein liking them young and have a teenage girl read the voice over. No music no flashing graphics. Just that. The dems dropped the ball so badly

See?

it doesn’t matter.

Krystal crashed out for …nothing.
so, what does ‘show new cracks’ mean?

it's crazy to me that we live in a era of American politics where a Senator who does Trump's bidding and is part of a slim majority gets thrown under the bus over one bill POTUS doesnt like

like how does Josh Hawley feel about being called second tier? why bother going to bat for Trump if he'll start name calling as soon as you legislate something he doesn't agree with?

being an elected GOP official in the house now must be utter chaos. either blindly support the party line/ Trump's wishes or you're disposable.

and i hate, legitimately hate, Josh Hawley so fukk him. i just think it's insane how Trump makes enemies in his own party overnight.

Hawley will continue to lick his tip like the hoe he is. So unfortunately, it doesn’t really matter ultimately.

you're not wrong but I think it's a little more nuanced than that

Rogan is a lost cause but Theo Von had Bernie Sanders on the show and it was a good conversation

I understand Kamala on Joe Rogan wasn't the right look but something like Tim Walz on Theo Von podcast or Mayor Pete on Rogan as a surrogate should have been put in motion. it was too large a swath of voters to ignore. media has changed & strategy must change with it. whether it resonates with us or not

Or maybe grown adults shouldn't be using content creators and podcasters to influence or make important decisions for them? If someone at this point is letting Theo or Rogan tell them what to do on important life decisions, well that's the bigger issue.

It's the world we live in?? Frankly your arrogance and dismissiveness encapsulates why Dems ran a losing campaign

It's clear multi-touch media strategy is in a party's best interest. especially in a Presidential election when you have a particular newer facet of media averaging tens of millions of views per episode

And John Fetterman did a long form Rogan show right before the election. so if we're gonna send a Dem foot soldier over there at least let it be Mayor Pete who already does the Fox News guest circuit & articulates progressive talking points literally better than anybody

and it's not about swaying Joe Rogan base, it's to offer a reasonable counterpoint to his audience. Mayor Pete is perfect that. it doesn't flip a ton of votes so much as it balances out the heavy right wing message they get week over week. there's value in that especially if we want to play the long game and appeal to these 18-29 year old males as they "mature" through the next few election cycles. god forbid Walz goes on Theo Von podcast and is likable for an hour
