Is this the updated 2015 Football Outsiders' Almanac?

yeah I just bought it along with their fantasy projections....they have the Jets win projection at 8.3.

Lynch is their #1 overall player for fantasy fyi

:ehh:, thanks for posting the piff.

However I believe Geno was put into an especially poor situation as a function of Idzik stripping the offensive corps and Geno's preternaturally rare game improvement in his last 4 games last year. He's more "bad with potential" for me as the chances of him putting up a perfect QB rating are rarer than his becoming a good QB. Few third QBs improve as he did and have their performances carry on into training camp (and beyond).

to your credit you've been very fair with your analysis.

Yeah there's no doubt that idzik stripped the roster seemingly to sabotage Rex and give him grounds to hire his own coach

Rex and Tannenbaum both should have been canned together...the last two years were a waste other than getting below the cap.

The moves to get below it weren't brilliant moves. Just common sense moves any general manager would make.

People just don't respect black QBs...Most whit people don't and even some black folk....

There's still a lot of archaic ignant thinking with regards to QBs. We have more black starting QBs in the league but everything they do is undermined.

Meanwhile, mediocre white QBs get all kinds of time to "grow" or suck.

White QB will always get the benefit of the doubt over a black QB.

Geno isn't great but to be honest I have not seen enough of him. I think what i've seen thus far warrants another shot. He's very up and down...but the ups are quite good.

If there's no progression this year and he's given every opportunity then maybe it's time to turn the page but I find folk are way too impatient when it comes to QBs....and even worse if they're black. Kaep had a 2:1 TD to INT ratio last year with a god awful offensive philosophy and folk ready to burn him at the stake.

Black QBs are not allowed to have a down year or even a down few games... The leash is so short.

progress throwing the ball to who?

Name the weapons he threw the ball to?

Two of the three mentioned here are former jets.

Two of the three mentioned here didn't make the team are the players Geno threw to.

:jbhmm:

Even the football outsiders guys said Kaep threw more interceptable passes per pass attempt than Geno.

Qb's in general are overly criticized it's why that joke is the most popular player on the team is the back up qb

listen to ny sports radio and you'll hear callers kill Eli Manning even after 2 Super Bowls.

It's the nature of the position and fickle ass fans

Progress in his decision making and while the Jets weapons are few and far between there is still improvement to be made.
