I was thinking the same thing the other day. Suge could have his own biopic. Think about it. In the 19yrs since Tupacs death, we've had 3 films with 3 diffirent actors playing Suge Knight. The MC Hammer made for TV movie went all the way to the Pac/Death Row era and featured an actor playing Suge(probably the worst Suge). The Biggie biopic featured Suge(he didnt resemble Suge much, but had his voice and stutter down pat) and now the NWA biopic(the best Suge so far in terms of semblance) featured Suge. Tupac's biopic is coming out in the next year or so, and that will be the fourth incarnation of Suge on film in the last 15yrs. He might as well have his own flick. Honestly......

this dude just disrespected the honorable ahmed johnson.

But none of these dudes ANDRE HARRELL..PUFF...DOUG MORRIS...JIMMY IOVINE were SAINTS

In fact they were just as evil or MORE EVIL to an extent SUGE could ever be.....

So SUGE fit right in with an industry that was full of GANGSTAS and CROOKS wearing suits and hiding in offices

But what do you expect when the Music Industry Business Model was pioneered by this GANGSTER .......

The infamous Genovese MAFIA Affiliate

MORRIS LEVY

I didn't know about this Morris Levy guy. I'm gonna read up on that.

I tried telling cats about the Doug Morris story in one of the Suge threads on here, basically just to say you cant compare Suge to these other guys. Sure Suge fukked over some artist, bought violence to the game, but that's nothing many of these black/white CEO's haven't been apart of,done themselves, had done,or stirred up artist to do to other artist....Difference is they all were careful to keep it out of massas sight, keep massa out of harms way, dont bring beef to massa
Some good points brought up but I'd be curious to know how many of these CEOs during Suge's time were openly flaunting their gang/organized crime affiliations?

That's why I got love for the Suges and Dames of the game, people can call them bad businessmen because they labels is gone now or w/e....But I guarantee you if Suge and Dame allowed themselves to be the instrument of destruction of these higher ups,or kept they aggressive behavior pointed away from the direction of white suits and only on other black men....they would still have positions somewhere in the game, likely high positions.
How would Suge still have a high position somewhere in the music industry? Dr. Dre left the label because of the way Suge was running Deathrow Records. He helped get Pac killed. He got a reputation, true or not, for making grown men drink piss, beating people down, having people killed, all that shyt. Who's going to want to work with someone like that who manages to scare away or kill off the major talent?

Those few years where white ceos who profited off the culture that consisted of highway robbery, violence, death, extortion, finally had to feel the heat as well?We should thank Suge for the good times, and memories,it wasnt so fun when the 300 pound rabbit had the gun
I thank the artists involved for the music, not Suge for the fukkery he created or involved himself in. Getting his socalled "little brother" into gangbanging and eventually killed? Paying people to knock out former artists?

Sounds like he has the same reputation as Puffy,he would've been fine....Sure Dre left, but not every rapper minds the fukkery and lives for professionalism...Also lets not pretend ridiculous rumors that Suge put a hit out on Pac yet rode in the same car with em,stupid shyt the media perpetrated like that is what would make a artist more hesitant to sign:laff:....And without Suge creating or involving himself in fukkery you don't get the damn music:minblown:

Not sure how Suge got Pac killed anyway,he didn't put no bountys on Pac and himself,he didn't make Pac go jump on Orlando:sas1:.

Also why does it matter if they openly flaunted it or not? They were apart of it while keeping it in the shadows, keeping their image and hands looking clean....Or they profited from people like Suge who were apart of it,or artist who promoted or were part of the lifestyle, and they helped promote the lifestyle as well promote beefs and violence among artist.

They got to sit back nice and comfortable in they little offices while guys like Suge and other gangsta rap artist got all the bad press, while artist clashed crews at awards shows, was getting shot at....Im sorry, but its hilarious Suge turned the tables and had them feeling uncomfortable as many artist and CEO's involved in this hiphop shyt had to feel over the years.

All of a sudden they got a conscience and started to worry about the dangerous element that was being bought into hiphop, why? Because he was bringing it to they front door and gorilla pressing accountants:laff:

Even as a fan of hiphop you don't get to NOT feel the fire, fukk these execs who thought they could collect the majority of the paper, promote fukkery, take credit for the success of the fukkery.....but never have to feel the heat of the fukkery this culture sometimes brings.

Interesting read. The Suge Knight Cinematic Universe:

Straight Outta Compton Should Be the Start of a Franchise

Called Suge the Thanos of hiphop:mjlol:...I actually didn't like the Suge in SOC all that much,he was good enough for a limited role, but a whole movie?

Didn't know the Pac actor was using a damn voice over:childplease:?

As much as folks hated him in Notorious am I the only one who's not that against Anthony Mackie back in the role at this point:francis:?My choices are between him and Michael B Jordan at this point....I'm not convinced they'll ever find the right actor as long as they spend so much time searching for a bald nikka with bushy eyebrows:comeon:....maybe this SOC movie will show them the look is important but not THAT important....just like they used jherri curl wigs for SOC you can use fake eyebrow hair on Pac if its that serious.

I always hear that rappers, the ones who rap about being in the streets, slanging to get by...say they chose music to get away from all that. Who wants to sign to a label where you get treated like boot camp and the threat of being violated while in the studio is always present?

Also lets not pretend ridiculous rumors that Suge put a hit out on Pac yet rode in the same car with em,stupid shyt the media perpetrated like that is what would make a artist more hesitant to sign
No, I meant that had Suge not got encouraged the worst aspects of Pac's persona, and got his artist so heavily involved with his hood, Pac wouldn't have stepped to Orlando. Didn't Suge also tell Pac to take off his vest?

....And without Suge creating or involving himself in fukkery you don't get the damn music:minblown:
And without the fukkery Pac would still be alive.
Suge being a gangster got Dre out of the contract with Ruthless, but Suge being a gangster also got Dre robbed of his share of Deathrow Records, got him assaulted at the Source Awards, got the whole "Dre is gay" rumor started", and ultimately Suge being gangster is what led to his own current predicament.
Not sure how Suge got Pac killed anyway,he didn't put no bountys on Pac and himself,he didn't make Pac go jump on Orlando.
If you're the head of a record label, you don't allow your #1 artist to associate with members of your own gang, you don't bring that kind of environment around your artists in general. If there's a war between MOB and SSC why the fukk would you have MOB Pirus around your artist? You hire private security and that's it.

It doesn't excuse it but by these guys flaunting their association, their connections, it helps draw too much unwanted attention, from rivals, from law enforcement.
Don't get me wrong though, that doesn't excuse the white record execs and corporations who gladly profit from all of this. I'm just saying maybe the way Suge carried himself and went out of his way to promote that gangster image is why he lost his label and found himself in prison, while Puffy plays down any of his dirty dealings when dealing with certain outlets.

So get mad at CEOs acting gangster but be happy when a record label acts gangster.

All of a sudden they got a conscience and started to worry about the dangerous element that was being bought into hiphop, why? Because he was bringing it to they front door and gorilla pressing accountants
Naw, they never gave a shyt. As long as they make money they're happy. I didn't see Suge putting out the addresses of these white CEOs on his Too Gangster for TV DVD. I didn't see Suge hiring people to sock out white record execs or CEOs. He didn't try to get his friends out that life, because he didn't want to get out himself. His whole time being in charge at Deathrow was used to rep Mob Piru, instead of using his position and finances to STOP promoting that bullshyt.
