I always hear that rappers, the ones who rap about being in the streets, slanging to get by...say they chose music to get away from all that. Who wants to sign to a label where you get treated like boot camp and the threat of being violated while in the studio is always present?

No, I meant that had Suge not got encouraged the worst aspects of Pac's persona, and got his artist so heavily involved with his hood, Pac wouldn't have stepped to Orlando. Didn't Suge also tell Pac to take off his vest?

And without the fukkery Pac would still be alive.
Suge being a gangster got Dre out of the contract with Ruthless, but Suge being a gangster also got Dre robbed of his share of Deathrow Records, got him assaulted at the Source Awards, got the whole "Dre is gay" rumor started", and ultimately Suge being gangster is what led to his own current predicament.

If you're the head of a record label, you don't allow your #1 artist to associate with members of your own gang, you don't bring that kind of environment around your artists in general. If there's a war between MOB and SSC why the fukk would you have MOB Pirus around your artist? You hire private security and that's it.

It doesn't excuse it but by these guys flaunting their association, their connections, it helps draw too much unwanted attention, from rivals, from law enforcement.
Don't get me wrong though, that doesn't excuse the white record execs and corporations who gladly profit from all of this. I'm just saying maybe the way Suge carried himself and went out of his way to promote that gangster image is why he lost his label and found himself in prison, while Puffy plays down any of his dirty dealings when dealing with certain outlets.

So get mad at CEOs acting gangster but be happy when a record label acts gangster.

Naw, they never gave a shyt. As long as they make money they're happy. I didn't see Suge putting out the addresses of these white CEOs on his Too Gangster for TV DVD. I didn't see Suge hiring people to sock out white record execs or CEOs. He didn't try to get his friends out that life, because he didn't want to get out himself. His whole time being in charge at Deathrow was used to rep Mob Piru, instead of using his position and finances to STOP promoting that bullshyt.

Artist may not want to sign to a label that's like bootcamp, but some artist need bootcamp,I cant deny the classic results and the output:manny:

Far as Pac it doesn't seem like he was doing anything he didn't want to do,if by encouraging him you mean Suge was being himself and laughing at the fukkery and doing nothing to stop it?I buy that.

Most of this stuff you blame Suge for is equally Puffys fault if not more,I think your kindve making my point....the way people look at Suge and Puff, only difference is PR and image consultants....SUge bought his homies around Pac,Puff had to PAY gang members for security,to put bountys on chains, allegedly put a hit out,and yes he also bought these nikkas around his artist for security....He could've got caught up on March 9th easily and been the dumb one who fukked up by bringing gangsters around:heh:...Puffy should just consider himself lucky and nothing more,Suge was unlucky:manny:

And they mustve cared if they were having meetings about Suge, beefing up security and putting gangsters on they own payrolls out of fear of what Suge might do according to Geraldo....Sure they still weren't as vulnerable as the artist, but just the fact Suges unpredictability worried them somewhat is good enough for me.

Its only right they be worried somewhat just like these artist have to be,in part due to an environment they encourage and help foster...If you gon profit from it,Im just saying I'm glad they weren't completely on the sidelines anymore while SUge was there. For once they felt like they number could get called,no more of that watching from the skybox shyt:mjcry:

I hope Suge gave them this speech as he was asked to leave the building:wow:

Well just have to agree to disagree.

It seems like Pac was impressionable when it came to be around real gangsters. I doubt that Suge was just sitting back and watching Pac claim his MOB gang, and not encouraging him in any form but I wasn't there so who knows.

You bring up some good points. The way you promote yourself can really blind the public or forget about things. Puffy was hiring gangmembers as well. But has the bounty on Deathrow chains been confirmed?
I also forget about the whole shooting in the club with Shyne.
But I do hold Puffy to blame as well for all the dirt he did or played a part in. He sounds like a snake from everything I've read and heard about him.

I'd rather they be held accountable and/or have to face up for any criminal dealings they were involved in, rather than just get muscled by someone more gangster then them, because if Suge is doing that to the CEOs, look at what he can do, and did, to regular people around him. Beating people down with impunity, and for what? Might doesn't equal right.

That said, good points brought up and I see where you're coming from.

I look at it like this,if Suge wanted his artist to beef with people,I'm pretty sure he could've forced them long before Pac got to Deathrow if he was the bully folks claim...By all accounts it was Pac asking labelmates if they was riding with him against Badboy, not Suge....I will say in this moment Pac was angry and on a quest for payback and fukkery:blessed:....Signing with someone who loves it like SUge wasn't the best thing....I can only imagine him laughing as Pac came up with this shyt, and saying "Tell me more Pac:krs:"....I doubt SUge ever said ":whoa:" to anything....but plenty of people told Pac to stop, life long friends and family and he didn't listen:mjcry:..

He probably just needed to release all the anger through his music,If only he couldve lived to record 1000 more songs we might've got a complete album of happy Pac:mjcry:.

also ive seen people in the deathrow camp confirm the chain thing,as well as I think Greg Kadings sources....if its not confirmed its been stated as fact enough times it has become a fact.

Called Suge the Thanos of hiphop:mjlol:...I actually didn't like the Suge in SOC all that much,he was good enough for a limited role, but a whole movie?

Didn't know the Pac actor was using a damn voice over:childplease:?

As much as folks hated him in Notorious am I the only one who's not that against Anthony Mackie back in the role at this point:francis:?My choices are between him and Michael B Jordan at this point....I'm not convinced they'll ever find the right actor as long as they spend so much time searching for a bald nikka with bushy eyebrows:comeon:....maybe this SOC movie will show them the look is important but not THAT important....just like they used jherri curl wigs for SOC you can use fake eyebrow hair on Pac if its that serious.

my nikka thooo

I BEEN saying this....

The Notorius Pac/Suge had that rowdy/intense Death Row swagggggg

the Straight Outta Compton Suge was too mean in my opinion.

As much of a bad guy Suge is painted in the media, he smiles and laughs very often (hence the Sugar Bear title). Makes sense why he confronted them on set, that wasnt a good depiction of Suge.

Suge did tell Claudia Jordan in a casual conversation that he had rape goons. He had goons that liked nikkas.

Probably the same nikkas Ray J was talking about when he said he knew booty goons.:sas2: Deathrow:scust:

Supposedly Devante (Jodeci) didn't want to work with Suge anymore. Suge and company beat Devante with a baseball bat and raped him.

I don't know if it is true, read it here: What Really Happened Between Devante Swing And The Members Of Da Bassment?

A tv show based on the fukkery of Suge needs to be made, with re-enactments :wow:

Are You Afraid of Suge?:jbhmm:

:lupe::merchant::whoo:
Lmao, that'd be an awesome show. "Are you Afraid of Suge"

Chris Hanson would give the viewers at home diffirent scenarios in which they'd have to deal with Suge Knight face-to-face. And they'd have the actor from the NWA biopic reprise his role as Suge, doing the reenactments.

Chris Hanson: "Picture yourself being hung over a balcony by Suge Knight and his booty goons. How would you react? What thoughts would go through your mind?"

I agree....that's what Rico Suave was saying in that interview as well

"Suge was NEEDED as a REGULATOR"

cause the Industry is so GRIMY

People scapegoat Suge

But none of these dudes ANDRE HARRELL..PUFF...DOUG MORRIS...JIMMY IOVINE were SAINTS

In fact they were just as evil or MORE EVIL to an extent SUGE could ever be.....

So SUGE fit right in with an industry that was full of GANGSTAS and CROOKS wearing suits and hiding in offices

But what do you expect when the Music Industry Business Model was pioneered by this GANGSTER .......

The infamous Genovese MAFIA Affiliate

MORRIS LEVY

hqdefault.jpg

I was with you till that last part...lmao at Morris Levy being Italian...that's a super Jewish name.

Suge is a smart dude and his rep was certainly well deserved but had he controlled himself and not treated the music business like the streets, he would probably still be running Death Row.
