My first time leaving the nest and my boy just bought a crib. :obama:

Is it a win being that my name wouldn't be on the lease? :mjpls:

Although I wouldn't mind having my own. :ahh:

Help me brehs!

Living on your own is always better as long as you can find a place where the rent is no more than 25% of your take home pay per month. If you want to save some money live with your friend for a year, save and then get your own place.

Depends. If having a roommate can help you save money, that's good.
I'm not into rooming with complete strangers so I chose the get your own place route when I was single. I could only afford a studio apartment so that is what I rented.

Wouldn't it be smarter to just stay at home then and just get my own place :dwillhuh:

It depends on how chill your parents are. If they don't nag you about company or when you're coming and going, then staying home is best.

Edit: I think you shouldn't get your own place until you're debt free...student loans and everything. You may even opt for buying a multi property house (if there are affordable ones in your area) and renting out one of the apartments and living in the other.
