Its a dark vibe..Starks is colorful soul...this is darker than the W which Ghost hated so I don't kno why he chose to do aside from a check...I'm listening and duke heart wasn't in it Sidenote some of these beats would have been perfect for a New Wu album..the brothers together would kill these...

Ok, so far Ghost has these albums supposedly done or near complete:

- This 36 Seasons album with the Revelations soul band, supposedly being released in December.
- The album with BADBADNOTGOOD that's supposed to be out in February.
- Supreme Clientele 2
- Wu Block 2, which is finished.
- The religious themed album with Killah Priest
- DoomStarks, which Doom seems like he doesn't wanna release
- Another album he did with Adrian Younge
- Another R&B album

the bolded is the only album i want :mjcry:

truthfully, even more than a new wu album at this point too :wow:

The Revelations are the same group that did the music on Chamber Music/Legendary Weapons, so it'll be the same kinda thing as a Ghost solo.

:trash:

Ghost's music has been sloppy as fukk for years now. His ear for production went from impeccable to D Block status

Another themed album from Ghost.... I'm excited for this.

Pretty much agree with every post Billy dropped in here.

Unlike most (from what I recall in the 12 Reasons thread) I thought 12 Reasons to die was fukkin dope. A Younge's production was really dope and hell if you ain't like that, Apollo dropped that Boom Bap. Ghost stuck with the theme and done a good job over the production. I was gripped listening to the story unfold.

Problem is, everyone was holding out for that SC Ghost. I agree he can definitely bring it more on a lyrical tip no doubt, but that Ghost on dust ain't coming back. That was then. I salute Ghost for staying so dam consistent throughout his in entire career with one of the finest discographies in the game.

Absolutely. Ghost did a superb job on 12 Reasons. The hate his recent albums get, amongst Wu fans not the general hip hop listeners , stems from him not being that dusted out-off the wall Ghost he was about 15 years ago. It's ridiculous.

That Ghost on dust myth is bs....dude obviously quit that stuff when he made The Pretty Toney album and that was fire then came Fishscale which was again fire etc ...dude has just been inconsistent the last five years altho Apollo kids was one of his better releases I must say....its these side projects I have a problem wit cause homie is never himself 100 percent ! Listenend to 12 Reasons last night...didn't see what the hype was about ...Ghost was in basic form as far as storytelling but suit urself kids !

For me, 12 Reasons to Die was good, but his lyrics were simply okay for most of the tracks. There was very little color, or humor in them. He was straightforward and basic. Apollo Kids was pretty generic.

The Ghost fell off sh!t is bullsh!t. Let's look at his last 3 solo albums

12 Reasons to Die: Critically acclaimed. NOT just musically either. Ghost interpretation of Adrian Younge's story was praised to the high heavens.

Apollo Kids: Was basically a mixtape full of left over tracks in Ghost's stash. Still had heat on it. Respectable 3.5 joint, but still really just a mixtape.

Ghostdini - Wizard of Poetry: Wu fans sh!t on this album because of the R&B theme, but it was a very dope album. A few of Tony's best songs in the past 5 years was on this album (Stapleton Sex, Guest House, Do Over...). Nice listen, from start to finish. Kinda joint you can play when you in the crib with your b!tch.

Ghost pen is still sharp. I see no evidence that he's fallen off.

I agree that his lyrics on there was not as colorful and witty as they usually are but that was due to him strictly adhering to Adrian Younge's script.
