the only bad thing about this project, and most projects like it today, is that all the players involved weren't in the studio together. Imagine Ghost and G Rap in the studio together, going back and forth on ideas for songs, with the band jamming/writing. So Ghost could tell them he wanted a break beat here, or some cryptic piano keys there, or some booming funky horns etc etc.

If I was rich I'd just buy some studio time and fly Ghost, G Rap, Meth, Rae, The Revelations, and Questlove in for a big ass studio session. Then fly in @Billy Ocean and the rest of the real dudes on The Coli to listen live.

According to Pitchfork, this is the follow-up to 12 Reasons to Die:

http://pitchfork.com/news/57400-gho...6-seasons-shares-love-dont-live-here-no-more/

Next month, Ghostface Killah will return with a new concept album called 36 Seasons. The follow-up to 2013's Twelve Reasons to Die is out December 9 via Salvation/Tommy Boy. That's the lead single "Love Don't Live Here No More", featuring Kandace Springs, above.

On the new LP, Ghost plays "a hip-hop superhero," according to a press release. It continues, saying that he is "a Staten Island vigilante inspired by a quest for personal retribution and bent on saving his community from the grips of crooked authority and urban decay." The album features soul band the Revelations, Pharoahe Monch, Kool G Rap, and AZ, among others.

The packaging will feature 20 pages of images from comic artists. The packaging was produced by Matthew Rosenberg, creator of Ghostface's Twelve Reasons to Die comic. Below the tracklist, find a movie-style poster for the album.

Ghostface is also set to appear on the Wu-Tang Clan's new album A Better Tomorrow, which is out December 2, as well as Sour Soul, the new album from BADBADNOTGOOD, out February 17.

Another themed album from Ghost.... I'm excited for this.

Pretty much agree with every post Billy dropped in here.

Unlike most (from what I recall in the 12 Reasons thread) I thought 12 Reasons to die was fukkin dope. A Younge's production was really dope and hell if you ain't like that, Apollo dropped that Boom Bap. Ghost stuck with the theme and done a good job over the production. I was gripped listening to the story unfold.

Problem is, everyone was holding out for that SC Ghost. I agree he can definitely bring it more on a lyrical tip no doubt, but that Ghost on dust ain't coming back. That was then. I salute Ghost for staying so dam consistent throughout his in entire career with one of the finest discographies in the game.

very harsh realities:to:

I want to cop that bundle but after the Soul Temple fiasco, I'm hesitant....

Yea, I don't blame you. That clown Bob Perry got the boot from RZA though. That dude had people waiting months after the album was released, for their packages. Sh!t was embarassing and probably led to the folding of Soul Temple Records.

AZ already dropped the one of the best verses of the year on this joint

I already know he got some incredible verses on this album :mjcry:

Plus G Rap and Pharoahe :whew: And GFK of course. He's still nice to me. 12 Reasons to Die was great.

The homie @PaperEnterprise just pointed out that that clown Bob Perry is one of the dudes behind this project. I wouldn't pre-order from them after that whole Soul Temple 12 Reasons to Die shipping fiasco.

I don't see why people are hyped by that tracklist.

Looks like some offbrand bullshyt like those Chamber Music albums.

In 2014 I just can't get too excited by Ghost and G Rap being on the same song together especially when it's over some anemic bar band music.

Those Chamber Music joints were cool to me, just lacked cohesion IMO

We ain't getting old Ghost back but this project looks interesting
