Billy you're certified but you're riding a little too hard on that 'everyone just wants SC ghost' shyt. On Pretty Toney and Fishscale he wasn't spitting that style, but he still sounded more energetic and witty than he has for a while now. He's still capable of that shyt, I mean look at Gunshowers, he went off on that and sounded great.
But there's no denying that on a lot of these new projects he sounds different, and its not just lack of the dusted style. I mean, I love this new Love Don't Live Here no More joint, but don't tell me you can't hear the difference in his voice/energy. He's older, and sometimes that comes through in the music.

There may be a slight energy drop off but it's being EXTREMELY exaggerated by a select few on here. He sounded fine on his past few projects. He may have been off on a few joints but nothing noteworthy enough to be panicking about. He's still very capable of dropping really dope verses/songs and he just dropped what is considered a very dope album in 2013. He just dropped a VERY dope track for this 36 Seasons album...what's all the crying about?

I hear you. Just kinda funny that some cats on here acting like the n!gga been putting out nothing but trash over the past five years. To be all the way real, ALLLLLLL THE WAYYYYY REALLLL, his last real solo project was Wizard of Poetry. Wu Massacre was a collaboration with Rae and Meth and that consisted of mailed in/ throwaway verses and songs from each artist. Apollo Kids was basically a mixtape of throwaway songs. Wu Block was a collaboration with Sheek. And 12 Reasons was Adrian Younge's brainchild and Ghost has said several times that he did it as a favor for RZA. With that said, ALL of those projects were pretty much good projects. I just don't see what the panicking is about.

No I assume the energy is lagging which I don't like. He can still spit but his energy level just seems in a weird place. Or it really could just come down to mixing and mastering, which can do a lot to your tone. I'm not saying he's in bad condition at all, but son has put on A LOT of wait in the past couple years, and that can have an affect on what you do on the mic. Rae's always been a heavy set dude so it's nothing for him but Ghost may not be able to carry it the right way.

And then again, it could all be an artistic choice: there are joints on 12 reasons to die where he sounds full of energy and other joints where he sounds calm and relaxed so that could just be a choice

i aint wanna believe it but when i think about it ghost aint sound like ghost(voice tone wise)since big doe rehab.he started sounding funny on that apollo kids joint.

i like this new single but he sounds old even tho he been old for a minute.he sound like when odb came home from jail before he passed.

like he cant spit over a fast beat anymore.that beat was slow and he was barely keeping up.maybe he should start smoking again
