I feel like this is the last A+ performance from Ghost. He sounds crisp as ever here.
I also have had a sneaking suspicion that Ghost sounds off lately because he truly doesn't give a fukk about these little vanity project/cash grabs. From what i gather, his heart is in the R&B shyt & Islam. Ghost is the type of dude who's emotions are worn on his sleeve and him sounding uninspired is just that. Maybe some burnout from extensive touring and health issues too but that's correctable with R&R.
I bet his R&B joint and whatever he's cooking with Killah Priest will sound way more marvelous.
Yup. 12 Reasons to Die felt like Ghost on autopilot and my guess is because it's hard for him to make records about killing and gangster shyt now. I've been saying for years that if we get a whole Ghostface album with tracks like Underwater detailing his spirituality, every Ghost fan will be happy.
