Recently I've been listening to a lot of songs from Bulletproof Wallets including songs that didn't make the final cut such as "The Sun". Well I recently happened to come across the original version of "Never Be the Same Again" with a completely different and very superior beat. Are any of y'all familiar with this version?

yep, theres so many songs to list that got butchered from that album that it rarely gets mentioned. think this was RZA, Epic was being cheap with the clearances

9th Wonder's remix doe :ahh:

Yup, I agree breh. I was just listening to the OG Bulletproof Wallets the other night and it could've definitely been Ghost's 3rd classic.

I don't know if it's me but the retail version of Bulletproof Wallets just seems like a collection of dope songs. Meanwhile, the original version was a well-crafted album with much better cohesion.

No problem breh:myman:

The Sun and Good Times would've been two of my favorites joints on the album if they were on the retail. The original Flowers is better than the retail one as well. The Watch is great too.

The songs on the retail are still dope as hell making it a good album but the cohesiveness is all fukked up. Having "Never Be the Same Again" play after "Flowers" and "Maxine" is :dahell:

That's not an original. Choo the Beat Specializt (produced Malcolm on SC) submitted that beat for Ghost for the song, but Ghost didn't use it. Choo released the beat online afterwards. Because "Never Be The Same Again" was a single, the accapella was out there and the internet did what it do & blended them together. It being early internet, a ton of people just DLed "original NBTSA" & thought it was an unreleased original, and who could blame 'em w/ each Ghost album having so many unreleased cuts & stuff like Dreddy Kruger's mixtapes having it mislabeled as a RZA original beat.
