Please enlighten me as to what subject matter kills Ghost? Can you give me some creative songs where he hasn't robbed MCs of their original idea? If I was Pharoahe Monch right now I'd be sick to my stomach from seeing idea after idea taken by someone and then they claim they never knew about it. Motherfukker....you're from Queens as well

Other than Nas making a song about a gun, like Organized did with Stray Bullet, please name the ideas that Nas "robbed" from Pharoahe?

Ok but once again this is the whole 'gospel' argument. Great verse but...for example what the hell is "I'm raunchy"...

was that necessary? Sometimes he rhymes to just rhyme. Most of that is impeccable rapping but some of it is try hard poetical fluency.

What do you not get about the placement of raunchy in that verse? It wasn't just rhyming to just rhyme. Raunchy means vulgar. The line goes "I smoke a gold leaf, I hold heat nonchalantly...I'm raunchy, the things I do is real it never haunts me". He's saying he's raunchy...meaning vulgar. He's burning a righteous spliff, while holding guns and he's not going to regret it or lose any sleep over it. How dumb would you have to be to not understand that or even misconstrue the line to the point where you would call it "rhymes to just rhyme"?

This dude @Inspect Her Deck is a bozo. Stop trolling.

@N711oir
The Wu within themselves have had some tough ass competition

Now I think they would have been fine as solo artists, especially the first 4/5...

But no doubt there was huge competition amongst the MCs and they all helped each other get better, and the RZA factor just made everything 10x better too

But I wasn't even looking from that perspective

I'm taking Ghost's solo career over Nas any day of the week, and that's not even factoring in OB4CL or the Wu group albums

The one disadvantage of Wu being a group is that the elite MCs will never get their shine a la Jay or Nas or Biggie etc. That's something we gotta accept
:manny:

:manny: But MC'n is about battling as well

Nas took on biggie / pac / and Jay aka HOV :comeon: I ain't even no Nas Stan but for him to still be here that's impressive

When you have quote unqoute hard artist who cave and get took by cream puff r&b artist from oh Canada :mjlol:

No offense to across border brehs:mjlol:

But the wu has been through some battles but none of them the caliber of what Nas did and doin that on his own:yeshrug:

I'd love to see Nas rapping like Ghost did on The Forest, Underwater, Beat the Clock, Child's Play and so on and so forth. Nas is a brilliant poet and he has that street stuff sown up. But he's not that creative nor captivating, at least relative to Ghost.

Awful example...

Ghost had the best verse on the song
:skip:

@Ayo!-BEZ I slander Nas because his stans are unbearable breh. Until they mellow down and learn there's some competition in this rap game, then idgaf. Well some of them, I know some are reasonable. Anyway Ghost top 2. Nas top 15.

And I stand by my statement about MC'ing...Ghost, Rebel INS, Raekwon and GZA are better MCs. Method Man is debatable.
Yo

Lol

Name 14 mc better than nas:ohhh:

So many threw rocks at nas' thrown.

If biggie had never died I swear we woulda eventually had a civil war in NYC with nas, raekwon, and ghostface on one side going up against biggie and jay z.

I thought raunchy had sexual connotations but I might be wrong.

Thanks for explaining it. Just checked and vulgar is an alternative understanding of it.

Anyway regarding trolling, why don't you confront the dude who called Ghost a bum? Nobody's said shyt about him, because it suits them to see Nas elevated. But when it is vice-versa, people go crazy.

i always like what you said in another thread when it comes to this topic
nas is GOAT, but ghost is more consistent (or something like that)
which i agree with!!

Yeah @Billy Ocean made the perfect comment about ghost the other day in that cube thread.

Cube mighta been a 2 two time mvp but ghost is a 20 time perennial year all star :whew:

How big is the battle aspect really though?

For some MCs it hardly ever features or constitutes a part of anything because of the situations. We can never tell what would happen to individual Wu members because by and large nobody went at them.

But Nas held his own for sure.

You implied Nas stole many ideas from Pharaoh. You can surely name more correct? Out of both of their long and extensive careers filled with thousands of songs you surely can't be out here implying Nas is a Pharoahe biter when you can only point out 2 songs with similar concepts.

I stay calling trolls out. Check my history. No need to call out one desperate ass troll post in here when you're in here with several desperate ass troll posts.

So it's ok to rhyme just to rhyme if you set out to do it? :russ:

Precisely

You implied Nas stole many ideas from Pharaoh. You can surely name more correct? Out of both of their long and extensive careers filled with thousands of songs you surely can't be out here implying Nas is a Pharoahe biter when you can only point out 2 songs with similar concepts.

Two songs isn't enough? How many concepts does Nas have to steal?
:comeon:

There could be more but that's to my knowledge as of now.

I stay calling trolls out. Check my history. No need to call out one desperate ass troll post in here when you're in here with several desperate ass troll posts.

Nope you know my true stance already but you keep going for me. And even if you didn't, my comment wasn't worse than the comment the dude made...but suddenly all the Nas stans have gone quiet. Because it suits them to hear comments like that. But it's ok.
