This album is crazy. Sure, Ghost's flow may be slightly off in a few spots but the album and storytelling doesn't suffer in any way. I'm also really feelin the beats on here. Dope shyt.

Yea, it really is a dope album. I really don't see any glaring mishaps with Ghost's flow at all and his storytelling is definitely on point. He really wasn't in the position to give you that wild, off the wall shyt on this album because he has a whole fleshed out story he has to adhere to. And the beats are crazy. Dude's bytching about the beats must be listening to them on some bullshyt speakers or they just too caught up in that boom bap or Wu sounding shyt. I've become a fan of Adrian Younge on this album. He did the story and he did a great job with the beats. I still would have loved to have heard a Meth and Rae verse on here but this is still a superior effort. This album is better than a 4/5.

Dog. This shyt shyt is aiight personified. Ghost is offbeat and kicking struggle bars. Like for real. Wu Block is better than this shyt.

So you guys enjoy off beat raps? I don't.

Album is banging, Mel. You must be listening to the shyt from some clock radio speakers. The rhymes and beats flow well. This is an old school, Italian crime story done very well by one of the greatest MC's ever, his Wu brethren and a very accomplished young composer/producer. Stuff like this should be appreciated in hip hop. I'm not gonna bytch because there are a few mastering issues.

Wrong. I like Wu Block. It's a dope album. It ain't better than this album. Post the Ghostface "struggle bars" you are referring to. Stop the bullshyt.

Listened to the whole album last night and is great. :obama:

The obvious issue is that it's short but if that's the only issue than it's not going to hinder the album.

So good job Ghostface

I agree. I really like Wu Block, and while it may have stronger tracks, its not as consistent as this effort. This effort is consistent all the way through, but thats because you have one producer...like in the old school days. Thats one of my problems with hip hop today. Rappers have to get a beat from 10 different producers to do an album and the shyt just dont flow properly. This is why probably my most heavily rotated album is Trophies. There are pros and cons. Of course with an album like Trophies it can run together and things can get monotonous. On this album, monotony works because its a story.

I am pissin in my pants waitin on the Brown Tape version.

sn: I have Venice Dawn and Something About April albums and while I liked the instrumentation...I wasnt digging it that much with singing. I thought he would sound much better underneath some hip hop. I think I was right.

I dont like albums that are too long but this one did feel about 4-8 min too short.

This is kinda corny honestly. Ghost is off beat. Beats are slow as hell. Not crazy about this story. Maybe it'll grow on me.

I cant argue with what you hear with your ears. I can see exactly where you are coming from. For me, its just refreshing after listening to all this other bullshyt. If this album wouldve came out during the height of Wu, it probably wouldnt be received well, but in this particular time, it gives us a break from all this garbage rap over the same beats.
