Duuuuuvaaaaal!!
He's saying shyt that's mad obvious. Like I can guess his bars. I guessed 'bone gristle'. I knew he was gonna say it. On the fast songs he's still sounding cool. The slow joints he's off beat and predictable. And Ghostface is my favorite rapper of all time aside from kris.

That bone grissle line made me :gladbron: Not because it was a witty or complex line, but because of the way he delivered that shyt. Like a period at the end of a sentence where he was making a point that he did not want you to fukking miss. I've been listening to this shyt non stop for two days. Love it! The music, the flow, the rhymes, the story. A perfect execution of a concept album. I really enjoyed Younge's Black Dynamite soundtrack album, so I had an idea of what was coming. From a musical standpoint this is some real heavy shyt brehs. Plain and simple. 99.9% of everything else out right now is not.

im sure the Apollo Brown version will be more my thing. Hopefully he can fix the off beat issue in editing.

Here's the Apollo Brown version of Rise of the Black Suits:

Adrian's version sounds better:

And Billy, I see you saying "it's supposed to be this, it's supposed to be that".....it's supposed to SOUND GOOD. So far IMO its sounds just okay.

Stop making excuses for a decent side project. People were screaming this was gonna be a classic, it clearly is not and now cops are being plead. And I agree about SC2. That's the project where he better show up.

I see this alot on the internet and I just don't get it...
Someone likes something, which is a GOOD emotion, yet someone who doesn't like it tries to persuade the other to also not like it. What is this about?
:mindblown:

Didn't you 'not like' Killah Priest's PWOWR at first too?

all that shyt is irrelevant. this album is aiight at best. Ghost is off beat. end of story. when your job is to rap you should at the very least be on beat. Ghost is old and obviously not inspired anymore. and that's fine. i think he's truly on a Islamic mission now and just rapping to get checks.
You sound stupid. End of story. nikka in here talmbout Islamic missions and shyt :snoop:

is Ghost offbeat? yes or no?

I don't really hear that :manny:

And if he was a bit off beat, so what? In the Wu's heyday ALOT of their classic shyt sounded like they were off beat. But it didn't matter. It still sounded good. This sounds good. Stop bytching about minutiae and enjoy this dope ass CONCEPT album breh. Dope beats and dope rhymes...what more can you ask for?

being off beat is a big deal. listen to 'Windmill' off 8 Diagrams. my fav song on that album. Deck's verse is totally offbeat.

on this album Ghost is GLARINGLY out of pocket on a number of joints. I just don't understand why.

See, it didn't sound offbeat to me either. I think people just aren't accustomed to hearing tracks made with that organic shyt: Live instrumentation. They are too used to hearing beats made on a computer. But I'm sure if you sat down and listened specifically for the offbeat stuff versus just listening to the damn album you'd hear it.

This proves my point. I love Windmill also. I really like Deck's verse, don't care one bit whatsoever if Deck's offbeat. Maybe he was purposely rapping offbeat? You know sometimes rappers do it on purpose, right?
