Just finished listening to this clip. Why are the couple homosexuals at the table strongly suggesting that Nas has been ghostwritten? Funny shyt. Still an interesting conversation, but I don't care to view these homos having a debate anymore :manny:

A nigha like dre having a ghostwriter doesn't bother me cuz dude doesn't truly try to parade as a rapper, even, plus it was known since his nwa days dude doesn't write. But as a whole, I think the last of whatever innocence I have would be taken of nas really had ghostwriters, not a few bars enhanced for him, or ideas given to him, but all out songs written.

Killer Mike had some interesting things to say on the subject in his Hiphopdx interview.

When it comes down to it, I'm sorry but I just don't respect Ghostwriting in Hip Hop. ESPECIALLY if you claim yourself as any sort of lyricist or the "best".

So you dont even fukk with the Dre's and Diddy's using them. With thise type of guys Im glad they use ghostwriters, if you're gonna be on a song, I dont wanna sit through 16 bars of struggle. I joke about it on here alot but I really wish Birdman would use a ghostwrite, i mean what else is gudda gudda, jae milly, and cory gnz there for?

Dr. Dre doesn't even try anymore. That nikka sounded like Kendrick's older Grandfather on Compton and The Recipe it was so fukking obvious K.dot was penning those verses....:beli:

But even with that I can fukk with Dre on the production tip, so no I'm not giving him a pass but again Dr. Dre has never called himself the "best" rapper.

Diddy I don't fukk with. I've NEVER owned a Diddy album and the only song of his I have on my iPhone is Everything I Love and that's for the beat and Nas's verse. Again BLATANT use of ghostwritten lyrics with Diddy rapping about "spitting Ether" and "New York 5 percenter culture":stopitslime:

I'm talking more about nikkas like Kanye. Who scream about how great of a lyricist they are while using Rhymefest, Consequence, and Cudi to write his rhymes. I can't respect that nor will I ever place Kanye in my top ten, despite enjoying his music. If your not writing your own shyt then you can't expect supreme respect, not when Nas is writing Illmatic at 18 and Hav and Prodigy are writing Infamous at 20.

I like what dude, in the middle, was sayin'; is the music still good? Yes, there is a difference between the culture of Hip-Hop (ghostwriting is wack) and the business of Rap music ($$$).

We empower the Rap music industry by buying records that are generated by the music industry.

So, a lot of the cultural norms get violated all the time (ie bitin', ghostwriting/producting, doin' it for money, not love, etc.)

If Nas had ghostwriters on the untitled album, it was still a great record. But, it comes at the expense of his standing in the culture.

 What's funny about this (and shows like it), you get to put faces to some of these stans. Talmbout; I'd be hurt. It's not that serious, B. It's the music industry and it be like that sometimes.

IMO, I don't think it's totally farfetched to believe Nas was able to replicate the flows of the producer/rapper he was working with. Jay Electronica raps a certain way and makes beats to his way of rappin'. It's not crazy to think Nas felt the Jay El' flow was the best to go over Queens Get Money.

And I still don't understand this idea that the untitled album was so far left for Nas. As if he's never tackled the same, exact subjects on his previous works. It's not like Lil Wayne released that album.

He's verse on Hollywood Divorce sounds so far from what I'm used to hearing him rap about--same corny lines--it's different and doesn't mean it was ghostwritten.

People have to get over "ghostwriters." Top artist have been using muses and lower artist as workers to make their shyt better since Ancient times. Yall don't know dudes like Michaelangelo and Picasso had dudes painting shyt for them or bringing them ideas to translate. Fashion designers have "interns" that practically design the clothes. Any form of art has that kind of pyramid scheme. The top rappers start at the bottom by writing for others and building up their own brand so that when they blow up they can do the same. Also, if you in the studio with ten other nikkas, of course if they have a dope line or way to say something for your rhymes, you going to listen. How yall think OB4CL was made?

What's funny is how the gay dude with the dreads went on about how talented Nas is to ghostwrite and change his style for artists like Will Smith but then later on insinuates that Nas had a whole album ghostwritten because it strayed from his usual style...:heh:
Would of been a better roundtable with dudes that used logic
