Even if he did, Nas was throwing Jay Elect a bone by putting him on in the industry. A Nas cosign went a long way. On top of that, Queens Get The Money ain't even close to Nas' best in his catalogue. I hope you're not implying he couldn't write something rivaling it?
He wrote the two best verses on the Untitled album

one didn't even make it for some reason

he might've written other parts but those two are the obvious ones

Again...No...he didn't. Speculatory bullshyt. Until you provide valid proof you're just another Dream Hampton fakkit posting shyt you know nothing about.
Also we have an industry insider with strong ties to The Roots among other acts on KTT who confirms Jay Elec writing for Nas

He even sounds like Jay Elec on those tracks as far as vocal inflections

Face it, he was spitting to a Jay Elec reference
No...he didn't. You sound stupid. What if I was going around posting that Killah Priest is ghost writing Jay Electronica shyt with ABSOLUTELY NO PROOF? I would look like a dumbass. Sorta like you, Breh.

if jay electronica ghostwrites for nas then jay elec isn't as good as you guys hype him up to be

i listened to 1 song by him and he sounded average and nas lyrics were weak on last album, forced too

killah priest has ghostwritten for nas

craig mack ghostwrote for biggie on RTD

so did the lox on LAD

Tupac is the only rapper that had no ghostwriters BUT he did alot of imitation

live squad style, then he stole the "Lord Help Me Save Me" style from Evil Minded Gangstas (big syke)

on the real, it's like this:

othe rgenres of music..... yes, it's okay to say they don't write their own lyrics.

but what if you found out they didn't SING their shyt the whole time? What if you found out they some kind of way pumped or modded Mike Jackson's vocals whenever he sang? Or not even Mike.... any prominent singer?

nikkas would go from defense to anger to denial to depression.... Dudes would be hurt and devastated.

Cause a singer's claim to fame is in his skills. A rapper's claim to fame is in his ability to rap.

It's not about "is it good" it's about them (and you as a fan) taking stock in their abilities and expertise of their craft. Singers sing. Rappers rap.

And yes, some dumb nikka is gonna read this post and flat out spazz on some "it ain't even possible cause we heard them live your point is invalid" type shyt.

Prolly write an essay.

Dumb ass nikkas.

Really I dont get why ppl would be up in arms if in fact Jay elect did write for Nas (I dont believe he did) but we all know Nas can get busy with the pen. IF he used a ghostwriter Im sure he would have has reasoning and would respect that. Its true that a person who consistently use a ghostwriter should not be calling themselves some sort of top emcee or anything. But us as fans should really care about the END product, that's what music is about...whatever process necessary to achieve a dope song (ghostwriter or not) Im for it.

How I'm supposed to respect a nikka for his LYRICS if he don't write em?...a rapper like Nas' whole career is based on his rapping and his lyrical ability...I can't respect no puppet...gettin a lil inspiration or help here n there will never hurt anyone..I'm talkin bout full on spittin verses n shyt that ain't urs....
