The conundrum is always tho with star trades, who has the assets to make a trade for Giannis and still have enough of their core left to contend with him

That’s basically OKC and maybe Houston or San Antonio?
All 3 of those options would be good to me. To me I think you pair him with somebody he can win with (SGA/Wemby) and figure out the ancillary pieces later. Houston is the one that I'm iffy on because I think we're still waiting on who their cornerstone piece is without Giannis, but they have the assets.

We have zero chance of that happening. We gave up all five of our first round picks for Mikal Bridges

Giannis wants to be in NY. If the Knicks traded OG and/or Bridges to NO. They could make it work

Just Win Baby
Lakers - Giannis(Thanasis signed as FA for our Nepo Spot)
Cavs - GOAT Bron, G-League Force Bronny, Jap Bron Riu
Bucks - Allen, Hunter, Dalton and multiple 1sts

:blessed:

I'm also willing to sub Reaves for Dalton and get Kuzma back if the Bucks playing hardball :hubie:

Isnt that basically what MIL did? :ld: And those ancillary pieces are harder to get and keep...especially if you hitting those aprons. SA might honestly be the only choice right now due to Wemby's contract.

They did, the Dame shyt just didn't work out so it crashed and burned. I thought those two together would fit together nicely but it didn't even before Dame got hurt. Also OKC gonna have to consolidate guys because they can't/won't pay everybody.

They were looking pretty good before they fired Griffin :sas2:. But thats kinda my point...you cant just toss two guys together and guarantee fit and moreover it takes more than just a two man power trip in the modern NBA. You gotta have the right squad around them no matter how good they are. Also Giannis is 30, shot 22% from 3 this year, and prior to this year was injured in 3 of 4 playoffs runs.

IF he is traded and that team is the Rockets if they can get him and keep Senguin and Thompson that is a VERY intriguing team on paper. We assume they would trade Jalen Green Jabari Smith and Reed Sheppard at the minimum. Maybe Whitmore is added or replaces one of those last two. A lineup of Van Fleet Thompson Senquin Giannis and Dillon Brooks is for sure a contender but STILL not a team that puts fear in the league.
A frontcourt of amen Sengun and Giannis would spell disaster. Gianni’s works best with a stretch big and shooters.
Houston would need to have to give up Sengun.

Giannis and Lopez for Sengun, Brooks, and Whitmore and a FRP

True, if I remember correctly some guys on the team didn't like Griffin because he changed their defensive stuff up. Guys like Lopez would be on the floor openly complaining. But be that as it may, I thought the core of Giannis/Middleton/Jrue had run its course so I agreed with them they had to make a move but it was a swing and a miss. The front office had other fukk ups too tho like trading Divicenzo for a washed Serge Ibaka :mjlol:

Oh no by all means if you got a shot at putting Dame and Giannis together you do it. Who knew Jrue would end up in a role he is more suited for in Boston. Who knew both guys would take turns getting hurt in the playoffs. Now getting rid of a coach that had you competing with Boston for the top spot for Doc is on them as well.
