When Giannis is having big games, the bucks are usually blowing out teams..so he doesn’t have to play 44 minutes

Gilbert is such a clown..just because he stood in the game longer to pad his stats in a 112-83 loss doesn’t make him better

I hate when people invent some type of wild definition, then say x doesn’t tick these boxes so he’s not great.

But would he keep the same energy for other players? Dude said because his 3% and FT% hasn’t improved, he’s not great. :mjlol:

Then someone said, his mid range improved. Gil answers that’s cause he took a lot more shots before. But in his first season he averaged 1.5 3p attempt per game, 0.5 in his second season. While the the latest years he’s 3.6-4.8 attempts per year. So why doesn’t he keep the same energy with 3s. He’s probably lying about # of midrange too.

Dude is not only trying to define greatness by how much you can approve random stats, but he’s also lying and picking and choosing whatever the fukk to make a predetermined point

if you dont like how he does it fine but you cant deny he does IT....

One of the biggest problems in basketball discourse today is folks can’t separate aesthetics from actual reality. It’s fine if you prefer someone else’s style of play but that doesn’t make them better. That’s how you get folks going around claiming that Kyrie is a superstar or that Melo was a better scorer than KD.

Giannis is probably the nicest and most kid-ish player in the NBA outside of the game and yet he still gets unwarranted criticism. What does he have to do to get their respect :what:

Start going to Rico Hines & Chris Brinkley runs, go party in Vegas/Miami/LA with other players during the offseason and start doing stepbacks & hesi pulls

I really don't know what it is about the older generation of players that has them triggered about Giannis

In a league where they complain about guys not giving effort or sitting out, he's the one guy you know that plays hard every night. He had arguably the greatest close-out game we've ever seen in The Finals and won a championship for a city most NBA players would agree they would never want to play in (Gilbert said it multiple times himself), that should have ended all criticism right there

Honestly, its the narrative that a Non-American won a Championship... in a Small TV Market City ...on the Team he was Drafted On... and not on a Superteam. It's like Giannis in the flash of an eye, made everyone who talked big, and couldn't back it up... looked smaller. So they have to chop him down in order to make themselves still look relevant.

I think it's just like another breh said in this thread cats like Gil hate the fact that Giannis came into the league a project and turned himself into a HOF player in a relatively short period of time dominating the game his way. They are dumbfounded on how a guy can dominate the game doing it like Giannis is doing it, so at this point you just gotta chalk it up to jealousy.

Real clown shyt. These guys are supposed to have extra cache due to being ex players but often come up with the dumbest takes. The thing they don't seem to grasp is that IMPACT >>>. It's like they want every player to have Kyrie's game regardless of how that affects actual winning. No one was complaining about Jabbar not shooting mid-range shots, or Shaq not shooting 3 pointers because again Impact >>>>. Giannis is easily an all time great and has definite potential to retire top 10 depending on how the rest of his career plays out.

I agree with Gilbert.Giannis is a freak of nature, but I always feel like there's something missing when I watch him.Same way I felt about Dwight Howard back in the day.Totally off subject, but it's the same thing with Kendrick Lamar.Yeah.Fukk it.Might as well get it all out the way today.I just don't see the hype with certain individuals who're supposed to be so great.Although with Giannis, the hype is more understandable because &e won a ring.Suns were hollow in the middle & he had a field day going up against the Cowardly Lion in basketball shoes, DeAndre Ayton.Heart nearly nonexistent like gnat shyt particles.Naw fukk that. He's in the negative quotient when it comes to heart.Almost gave him too much credit than he deserves right there.I'll be the crazy guy:unimpressed:
