I don't think the lack of diversity was what people complained about. It was more about the fact that when the show first got advertised, it was advertised as a show about "regular girls" that every girl could relate to... In reality it is a show about regular white jewish girls.... Some people just had high expectations for it...

Naw, there are dozens of articles pissed off about not enough diversity. Which I agree with but still have watched every episode. There are lots of hipster post college graduates struggling with finding a job that are black and non of the show captures that.
