Year: 2011
Make: Audi
Model: S4
Trim: Prestige
Miles: N/A
Region of the country you're located in: Southwest
Since April
Average Mileage - 25,542
Average Price - $43,000
Those estimates are based on region sales trends, history and nationwide sales data. No 2011 Audi S4's have been sold in the Southwest at this particular companies auction houses in April.

Nationwide though there have been 2 in the last week.

NY / $42,000 / 34,352 miles / Black / M
NJ / $44,000 / 16,699 off of Lease / Quartz G/ A

This is how it's looked since the beginning of the year 1/1/13. Highest paid, lowest paid, and average.
Code:
                High Low Average
Price $44,800	$39,000	$43,008
Odometer* 34,235 15,619 22,845

Some dealers are dumber than others. That $39k paid for a 15,000 mile car stuck out at me. It must have been in shytty shytty condition.

But the crazy thing is the dealer probably put in $500-$1,000 into recon for the car and probably pocketed close to $8,000 for it and the person will never know.

19k miles are going for $14,577 at auction to dealers. That's based on 28 sold in the last few weeks.

Recent Sales in your mileage range
CA / $14,300 / 22,218 miles / Above Average Condition / Black
PA / $13,600 / 19,815 miles / Average Condition / Blue
Orlando / $14,500 / 22,514 miles / Above Average / Silver

The warmer the climate the better this car is going to do.

Now on the other side of the spectrum....

One sold a week ago in Atlanta with only 17,821 miles on it. BUT it was in below average / poor condition. It came off lease and went for $10,700.

Leases are crazy. Some people beat the shyt out of leases and others take care of it and only put highway miles on it. It's always a good idea to check your Carfax and if the car you want to buy is a lease....try and figure out what kind of lease driver drove that car. Because by the time it gets to you that BELOW average condition is going to be covered up by cheap touch up paint, a ding remover, and the cheap lubing of everything that squeaks

so what could my girl trade it in for u suppose??

I consult for this dealership...but on the technical side of things (servers, website, workstations.) So I can't really say...

but judging by those number I wouldn't take any less than $14,000 for the trade. From the looks of it they could literally dump it at the auction and make their money back. Which is what most dealers do. It's either that, put it on their used lot, or sell it to a wholesaler. The auction is usually the easiest way for them to get rid of a car though.

Make sure you do it AFTER you negotiate a good price for the new/newer car. Don't even bring the trade with you. Otherwise they'll just make up for the trade on the other end.

4 years ago I initially got offered 4k less than the auction reports for my car. I told him about the numbers that I saw and told him I'd go elsewhere unless they could match it. They did.

2007 nissan 350z, 55k, touring, seattle/oregon or detroit

Remember these are auction prices. Dealers usually put a healthy markup on 350z's especially since they continue to be in demand.

2007 Coupe Touring.

With 55,000 miles you could expect, estimates...
Above Average Condition - Auction selling price $14,450
Average Condition - Auction selling price $13,700
Below Average - Auction selling price $13,000

Couldn't find any in those areas so I included a bunch recent sales to give you an idea. All are within the last 3 weeks

ORLANDO $15,900 / 46,130 / WHITE / Manual
PA Lease $15,400 / 24,944 / Above Average / BLACK / Auto
NEVADA Lease $13,500 / 64,781 / SILVER / Auto
PHOENIX Lease $14,600 / 59,808 / RED / Auto
MILWAUKEE Lease $15,000 / 41,123 / Above Average / SILVER / Auto
NASHVILLE $13,300 / 65,253 / Black / Manual

The lease sales are usually cars that are directly from Nissan/Infiniti Financial.

:ohhh: Most of the ones I've seen are selling for around 21-23k.
So if I were to go to a dealer that was selling one for 22k for example, tell them that I know the auction price?

What makes you think that the 163k one is going overseas?

Chances are the ones that you're seeing for 22k are below average to average condition. Less markup but it will fly off the lot. TL's always sell. Not much margins in cars that hold their value that well.

So there's not much wiggle room in that price at that mileage unless the car is in shytty condition.

Overseas that mileage means absolutely nothing. The dealer I consult at has 1 wholesaler in particular that will take any luxury trade over 150k miles and he ships it right to Lebanon.
