I have authorized access to a major database as a gift from one of my clients.

This is good thing for a few reasons

1) you can see what dealers are paying for the car at auction. better bargaining with this information

2) you can see what a dealer will get for your car at auction if you trade it in. better bargaining with this information. I got $4k extra for my trade with this info.

3) you can just see what a car is going for at auction if you're trying to find a good deal and know someone with an auction license

It's best to just send me a link to an ad on craigslist, autotrader, ebay or your local dealer. But if not just give me the info.

ONLY ONE SPECIFIC MODEL YEAR.

All I need is

Year (required)
Make (required)
Model (required)
Trim (if available)
Miles (if available/concern)
Region of the country you're located in (Northeast, South, Midwest etc) for a more accurate price
- example (SUV's do better/more money in colder places than they do in Florida)

I'll do the first 20. No guarantees after that. some positive rep would be nice in return :jawalrus: but not required.

Since you didn't list trim I'll just do base model (pricing for the sport is almost identical). To be honest options/trim don't really mean much at the auction. Unless it's leather interior or a different engine. So if you have a SE-R I can come back to it.

Base
10 have sold in the last week. Those with 120,000 miles are averaging $3,464 dealer cost (estimated retail of $7,650) at the auction in the Southeast.

The 2 most recent sales were 1 with 122,915 miles just sold to a dealer for $3,600 in Ft Lauderdale last week. 1 with 180,000 just sold to a dealer for $2,500.

I don't see any in the last few weeks with 150,000 miles so I used the estimator. All of the estimator data is based on real recent sales and dozens of years of auction data. When I plug in your numbers (150k miles) into the estimator I get

Condition above average - $3,600 auction / $8,650 estimated retail
Condition average - $2,725 auction / estimated $6,700 retail
Conditiono beat to shyt - $1,850 auction / estimated $4,725

If you lived on the west coast all of those numbers would go up by $500-$600. If you lived in the Northeast they would all go down by $500-600.

You gave me a broad amount of years so I'll just sum up the info.

If you guys give me one model year or even a VIN I can give yo more information on that particular model. Or if you just link me to an eBay, Craigslist, Autotrader ad I can tell you if it's a good deal or not.

Average Miles = Total average miles of cars sold at auctions
Average Price = What the car would cost at that mileage based on recent sales

Year: 2001-06
Make: BMW
Model: e46 M3
Trim: Coupe (non convertible)
Miles: N/A (Not really an issue)
Region of the country you're located in: East Coast

2002
Average Miles -- 111,241
Average Price -- $10,965 dealer cost / $15,580 estimated retail
Only 2 have sold at this particular auction house (one of the largest in America) in the last 2 months. 1) 64k miles at $15k and another, a lease vehicle with 10,000 less miles for the same price. Both in PA.

If you want something with fewer miles, 55k / $16k dealer cost.

Average Miles -- 89,226
Average Price --- $13,583 dealer cost / $21,000 retail
One just sold in NJ to a dealer with 99k miles @ $13,800
Low mileage = 44k miles / $18k dealer cost / Over 25k retail

2004
Average Miles 116,449 (a few high mileage sales drove these up)

Aight so this is the last range of years I'll do. Need one specific model from now on.

It's not because I'm lazy it's just that the database isn't very intuitive to search. They need to redesign that shyt lol.

:steviej:

Year: 2009-2012
Make: Audi
Model: Q7
Trim: n/a
Miles: 30k-50k
Region of the country you're located in: MidWest

Going to have to be more specific with this model. These are the numbers for the V6 in the Premium Trim only . In 09 and 10 i have an option for the Base model V6, Premium Plus V6, or Prestige V6, with a V8 option in each.

If you want any of those you have to be more specific.

2009
Average Miles : 51,199
Average Price : $28,250
4 sold in PA, here are two of the sales
$25,000 / 68k miles / GREY
$31,500 / 34k miles / GREY

2010
Average Miles : 35,221
Average Price : $31,959
2 sold
PA / $34k / 45k miles / GREY/ Above average condition
NJ / $30k / 57k miles / GREY
The price between the 09 and 10 are negligible. Has to be a reason. Doesn't tell me why though.

2011
Average Miles : 30,431
Average Price: $37,569
1 sold in the last 3 weeks
PA / $34,800 / 37k miles / shytty condition / color WHITE

2012 *only premium PLUS price available
Average Mileage 15,828
Average Price $47,680
2 sold, both in PA
$46,500 / 23k miles / SILVER
$48,000 / 8,418 / Average Condition / BLUE

Edit: Forgot to switch my search criteria to MIDWEST. My Bad. BUT Midwest prices are pretty similar to Northeast prices though. Weather is the same. So SUV's do the same money. A quick look. 2010 Q7 V6 Premium Arena, IL / $30,600 / 36k miles, WHITE, LEASE in Average condition. That's almost the same as the Northeast sales

Only 1 sold at auction within the last year and it was in PA.

It was Red with 19,669 miles on it. It went for $29,000. Condition says average. So who knows what that means.

2010 scion tc 19k miles

:lolbron:

19k miles are going for $14,577 at auction to dealers. That's based on 28 sold in the last few weeks.

Recent Sales in your mileage range
CA / $14,300 / 22,218 miles / Above Average Condition / Black
PA / $13,600 / 19,815 miles / Average Condition / Blue
Orlando / $14,500 / 22,514 miles / Above Average / Silver

The warmer the climate the better this car is going to do.

Now on the other side of the spectrum....

One sold a week ago in Atlanta with only 17,821 miles on it. BUT it was in below average / poor condition. It came off lease and went for $10,700.

Leases are crazy. Some people beat the shyt out of leases and others take care of it and only put highway miles on it. It's always a good idea to check your Carfax and if the car you want to buy is a lease....try and figure out what kind of lease driver drove that car. Because by the time it gets to you that BELOW average condition is going to be covered up by cheap touch up paint, a ding remover, and the cheap lubing of everything that squeaks

Remember all of these prices are what dealers are actually paying for them at auction unless I specify "estimated retail." And that number is estimated by this auction house using data from their own retail marketplace.
