It tells me that the Grammys cater to cotton candy pop music, the Taylor Swifts and Nickelbacks of the music industry. Winning a Grammy is not indicative of the quality of ones music, ESPECIALLY in relation to hip hop.
Scarface isn't a hood classic though. That shyt is a worldwide classic. It's pop culture history. If I go outside and ask a white lady if she knows about Scarface 99% of the time she will say yes. i really enjoyed gkmc but i didnt bump real and that damn mary song. swimming pools is cool but i didnt bump that much either...same with poetic justice and backseat freestyle. overall though its definately a dope album
Have yall opinion of what a classic is changed since it's a different landscape in music or do yall hold it to the same standards regardless of the musical climate. Because I'm hearing alot of "modern" classic talk

to me a classic is an album where i could just let it play without skipping a song. no weak songs...reasonable doubt is one of those albums FOR ME. i dont really go by anything else cause its all subjective at the end of the day. gkmc is a 4-4.5 imo.
