they shoulda just rebooted the series with a new protagonist in a new mythology, like say an Egyptian nikka going ham on Anubis and Osiris or a giant viking cracker fighting Thor and Odin cuz at this point I'm kinda tired of Kratos and I say this as a fan, like how much more anger does this dude have left in him? damn
Metal Gear Rising R________ looks wack compared to this honestly.

It's not like they rehashing the same thing. They have made each game feel different
. I replayed god of war 1&2 and it feels completely different from third. Also helps that there are new environments and the scale keeps getting better.
This will be the last god of war involving Kratos. This will bring the series full circle. How it all started, and why he has such a thirst for power.
This will be one emotional game. And I can't wait for it.

I haven't bought a game at full price since Halo 4, and before that I don't even remember. Buying games for 60 dollars is a waste of money, especially when you know they're going to drop in price within a few months of their release.
There hasnt been a bad god of war game yet and your putting that metal gear spinoff over it cause of a demo? Not saying rising is bad, just say for all we know that shyt could go dante's inferno on us and get wack as fukk half way through.
And 60 bucks is not a lot of money considering how much they spend making games. The price drops to stay competitive with the useds games floating around at that point.

I have a feeling that MGR:R will be a 7/10 game when it's all said and done.
There's a generic, cash grab feel about the game I can't shake off. The gameplay is okay but that blade mode looks like it gets old extremely fast. Combine that with the wonky camera and prosaic background music the game doesn't look like it will bear the name of Metal Gear deservedly.

No it doesn't. It just means I'm not hype enough to buy the game at full price.
60 isn't a lot of money, hell it takes 75 bucks to fill up my truck. That's not the point though. I've tried both games, and even with the multiplayer tacked on this, I can clearly see that for an action title that Rising's combat system is clearly superior what God of War offers. I'll eventually play it (maybe) for the story. But if I'm shelling out full price on a single player action title, it has to have a deep combat system... something that God of War never really had.
