FX-8350 4.0GHz 8-Core, GeForce GTX 960 2GB SuperSC ACX 2.0+, Graphite Series 230T Orange ATX Mid Tower - System Build - PCPartPicker Here's the list of parts I put together. (The price for everything went up to $1491 on Amazon, which is why I asked for $1500 in my campaign)
If you could switch some stuff out and get the price down, I'd appreciate it. :mjcry:
That's not bad, I haven't build around AMD in long time though.
-Drop the monitor for a cheaper one, a 24 inch monitor will suffice.
-That 8 core is power hog and it runs hot and not the best processor for editing, honestly Intel would be a better option but since AMD is cheaper, you should try to find an AMD Phenom. They are usually out of stock but check Ebay or Amazon. You can check for benchmarks and you will see that isn't the best processor.
-You can then drop the expensive CPU cooler or cut the price in half but with that processor, you would have probably needed a water cooler to keep that 8 core cool.
-You can drop the HDD and pull one from your old PC.
-960 is fine but I think you can drop the price and come down 2 generations or opt for a cheaper AMD or Nvidia card that is either refurbished or used on Ebay.
-Find a cheaper case
-Drop Windows 10 (free upgrade for windows 7) Or pirate W7 but you can find W7 keys for less than half the price.
-The onboard soundcard is usually just as good as the cheap ones you can buy separately. I don't even know if you will need a soundcard. (You will need an audiophiles perspective on this, I'm just trying to nice numbers off the total price)
-Take the mouse and keyboard you were using before or find a cheaper (wired) setup.

If you made this thread 2 months ago, I could have just shipped you a PC I wasn't using for free. lol

:what:I'm not trying to fool anybody. I just want a good quality PC that allows me to do the things I need to do, like run certain software with no problems (Pro Tools, etc.) and render videos at a fast speed. The PC I'm currently using takes damn near half the day to render a 3GB video. The price isn't for JUST the PC itself. The price also includes a monitor, and operating system (Windows 10).
How old are you? Do you have both parents living with you? Why should we help you?

I'm 22 and live with my mother. I haven't seen or talked to my father in over 2 years. I'm not one to ask for handouts. Every piece of music equipment, etc, I paid for with my own money, but as stated in the OP, I am currently struggling financially an don't have the funds for a new PC.

When I was very bored, I was thinking about making one of these threads asking you all to fund my trainer and art classes since my parents won't pay for all of it.

Just to troll a little bit. lol
