I think "shipping them back home" would be called "just cruel" and illegal too.

I’ll make it. Many of these people are seeking asylum. Which is not illegal. So if all the government is doing is waiting for these people to have an asylum claim hearing, where it may get rejected and they have to go back, just keep them together. Even if they’re going to hold them for some bullshyt ass reason, keep them together. If they’re so not wanted here, why separate them, and then not be able to find their kids? So we end up shipping them back, without their kids? That seems counterintuitive. Unless, what this administration wants to do is to terrorize these people psychologically.
