Google's not earned the privilege to ask $999+, $799+ or $599+ for their laptops, phones or tablets.

Pixel Slate with a Celeron processor, 4GB of RAM, 32GB storage and ChromeOS STARTING at $599 huh :mjlol:

I'd rather buy a regular ass iPad for less than that or if I wanted to spend more get a microsoft surface.

Google is losing their goddamn minds.

As soon as I saw the reviews and tried it out myself at Best Buy, I immediately ordered the Pixelbook instead.

The Pixel Slate was too wobbly and fragile. It lags from one window to another.

I've always wanted the stock android experience, but google has consistently lagged on the phones. I want to take the jump but they haven't enticed me, there's always something that gets me to :hubie:

next phone I get will be a note or the latest galaxy

No. only hoes care about that and hoes dont buy android like that.
You saying dudes don't care about photography?

Best camera on a phone, but shytty messaging apps to go along with it.
I think this is only an issue in this country. Every else uses some third party shyt. Allo is kinda trash though.

Google keeps failing to understand tablets

Android apps are designed for phones, Chrome OS is for laptops, and the tablet mixing the two is a mess

Android is an operating system designed for phones, Chrome OS is an operating system designed for laptops, and the mix of Android apps and Chrome software that Google serves on the Pixel Slate is a buggy mess. It’s easy to fall into the trap of looking at a tablet’s display size and say, “It’s like a laptop, so put laptop software on it,” or to consider its touchscreen and declare, “It’s just an enlarged phone.” Easy and wrong.

To take on the iPad, Google needs to give up its Dr. Frankenstein act and just take the time to craft a tablet from fresh parts.

This will now track what exactly it is that they are doing with their hardware.

I've had this on my mind for a while now and it's time to get this out here. We have to be objective which I know many on this forum are incapable of doing.

When I saw Google set the MSRP for the Pixel 3 at $800+ I couldn't believe it :mjlol:

This is the same operating system that till this very day still doesn't have a decent messaging system.

This is the same company that tried to shoehorn google+ down everyone's throats by tying it into very popular services such as youtube. Abandon it and finally kill it off in 2018...after it's essentially been dead since launch.

This is the same operating system that still has an issue with guaranteed OS updates over a prolonged period of time. "Google One" is now a thing, but you hardly ever hear about it being a big feature. They have failed to figure this out in 10 years.

Android Tablets ChromeOS Tablets STARTING at $599? :mjlol:

Pixelbooks STARTING at $999? :wtf:

The pixel project was initially supposed to be a guide on android phones and they have even flipped flopped on that. Nexus One was a top of the line phone, then handed off to samsung for a while. Then LG came in and made some big noise for a while by offering low cost phones that performed well. Now we are back to Google wanting to compete with Apple spec for spec charging $800+ with glaring problems with their operating system? :dahell:

Inconsistent performance years down the line, virus scanning software around. Browsing sites like the coli risking galaxy diabetes? Is this what we are doing in 2018?

I applaud Samsung for putting out decent hardware with these glaring OS issues. Just be careful putting those in your pocket.

Y'all can add on to this if you wish. I am sure I am missing more lol

10.28.18 - Google has not earned the privilege to charge $800 for their phones.
11.29.18 - Google's not earned the privilege to ask $999+, $799+ or $599+ for their laptops, phones or tablets.
What is this hoe babble?

Android phones have served me well since the nexus line and now I just buy the cheap alternatives and they still work well here and in international locations. Join the rest of the world because these non working phones dominate the planet...

I don't know why consumers wanna claim gang anyway... Droid phone, Apple laptop. I go where the best deal and tech is not repping some stupid side in a tech battle. Googles integration and echo system is trash... Googles computers and laptops are failing because they are fracturing their product line. They have chrome os, android etc. The average consumer does not want to get mind boggled with all these details. Is this a computer? Is it compatible with other computers? Can I run my word processor? Why does it need a different OS?

FIX Those basic fails if you are google.

As far as ME the CONSUMER. I'll buy whatever works well for my needs. I have no investments or interests in either party besides seeing a love for healthy competition in the industry.

Apple users always talk about the messaging system trash but most people I know droid or apple are using whatsapp anyway to message each other. I rarely get actual text messages.

In short you have way too much emotional investment in this tech battle. Just buy smart n cut the bullshyt. Never had galaxy diabetes and other such trash you claim it's just fanboi talk. Put the pom poms down
