You can beat that shyt. Hopefully you bumping this thread with your diagnosis encourages a member here to change diet and lifestyle BEFORE he gets the same diagnosis.
Not a lot of things in life we have complete control of, but how we take care of our bodies is one of them.
Definitely go for follow up or second opinion checkup, but I don't think diagnosis is a scam. The scam is the prescriptions they may put your on for the rest of your life.
If you have a desk job, and a sedentary lifestyle, you can make minor changes that will have positive effect on health..like taking stairs to go to work and lunch.....and carving out one hour each week to go for a continuous walk.
good luck whatever the follow up test says.
Yeah I hit up the gym and lift weights and do cardio at least 3 times a week. My weight gain has been occurring in the last year and a half of having a desk job but I do hit up the gym. Yeah hard part is the mental part. I don't mind eating healthier but I have to cut down the bad stuff and not just eliminate and revamp my whole diet. Can't go from eating meat to salads and veggies only all of a sudden. Body don't work that way.
Never understood why it's so hard for people to not eat sweets and not drink soda and sugary juices
I rarely drink soda or sugary juices. I would say that 90% of what I drink is water and then coffee in the morning but 1 cup. But its not just sugar, carbs are just as bad. Bread, chips, rice, starches, etc. I ate that new impossible whopper last night, had to get two cuz i was starving, and I ate it without the bread. Thats how much bread affects sugar.
I legit get this every now and then for no reason. Not a bruise or tight muscle. Just like a random kind of pain that sits on the outside of my right leg. I do eat a lot of ducking bread and drank pop a lot till acouple years ago.
Got me scared. My dad just got diagnosed as pre diabetic. But it really doesn’t run in my family at all.
Your Vitamin D might be low. But even still, start eating healthier now so you can avoid any more complications. Cut back slowly and make some changes.
