62 million people voted for Trump. If you voted for Trump, you are a Trump supporter until otherwise noted.

62million people voted for Trump. This idea that Trump supporters are a small minority of the population is false. The idea that we need to separate Trump loyalist from Republican loyalists is complete horseshyt considering: they both support austerity, they both suck at foreign intervention, neither group understands discriminatory housing, banking, or education policies, and they're both shyt ass hypocrites when it comes to political scandals.

No one who voted for Trump deserves the respect of being seen as an individual.

My point is the poll was constructed that way because the perception is that you can separate the two.

BTW if Bernie would have won the Democrat nominee, you would have seen a similar separation within the Democratic party. A lot of old-school democrats didn't ride with Bernie and his far left ideas. shyt, his own party colluded against him:skip:

I don't even think it's based on perception. I think it's purposely been done that way based on a fake idea pushed by republicans that they are somehow different from Trump.

For example:

That's where we are right now.

If you need to be reminded that voting for George Bush was actually worse than voting for Trump.....

The polls are blaming the Democrats and Trump

The GOP is only being blamed by the Democrats

This equation does not work out in the Dems favor
Polls can change. And if the polls are saying that...that means they were getting blamed regardless of whether they caved or not. Better to end the shutdown after 48 hours, than to have a shutdown for a month with no progress made in terms of DACA. If everyone agrees that DACA should have a proper solution, and the the right is refusing to negotiate a deal until the shutdown is over... doesn't make sense to keep the govt shutdown until March. Keep the Repubs held accountable...idc about if Dems get the blame now. I care about CHIP funding and DACA Dreamers being protected. Idc how it gets done.

my bad which poll are you referring to?

This was the article
Poll: Public blames Dem lawmakers, Trump for shutdown

Americans blame congressional Democrats more than President Trump or congressional Republicans for the government shutdown this weekend, according to an NBC News/SurveyMonkey poll released Tuesday.

In the poll, 39 percent of Americans said Democrats deserve the lion's share of blame for the shutdown, with 38 percent blaming Trump. Just 18 percent said most of the blame lies with congressional Republicans, who control both chambers of Congress.

I’m not sure if this has been mentioned but man, I kinda don’t want DACA bill to pass even though one should. Reason being is because you damn well know Trumps going to take credit for it.

Yeah it was. There are a few polls out there following the same format.

I'm pretty sure Chuck Schumer is the weakest mafukka to ever walk the earth. You can't trust McConnell for shyt, you can't trust the House for shyt, and you gave them the wall allegedly.

And I'm sure there were other Dems who caved just because they were shook of the optics. Just a weak party all around. Hopefully these primaries go down in bloodbath fashion win or lose.

Do you think chuck shumer is playing 3D chess with this move?

It may look bad now but it pays off at the end. I don’t know I’m trying to see the good out of this.

The pawns on the board are videos and pictures of dreamers being deported to Central America. They're hoping that sparks something for the midterms. Even though if they just stood and fought now instead of wavering they would realize that DACA and Chip are some of the most popular programs in the country period.

I hope I'm wrong and the GOP gives in but there's nothing in recent history that confirms that.
