what if you played both with a controller?

and i don't see how forced feedback is the only, or most important, representation on physics in a sim

but then again Forza 5 doesn't offer driving on the moon :skip:
Then your opinion holds no weight. You can portray things like suspension travel, varying levels of undesteeer, steering response etc. through a controller. Steering and throttle inputs are also 1:1. The only physical feedback you can get is rumble. Everything else is visual. If racing car drivers could tell how a car drives by just watching videos of it, they could just hop into any car and race, with no need for practice.

Not saying it compares to a wheel but the multiple rumble motors and rumble triggers in the X1 controller do a very good job of giving feedback. Its hard to explain you have to experience it.

what does any of that have to do with the actual physics in the game? are you saying they may be there, but no one can speak on it because there's no wheel support yet?

and what do complaints about the physics in GT6 have to do with Forza anyway?

We're talking about sims, the handling characteristics and feedback you get from playing nfs with a wheel differs drastically form what you'd get with a game like Forza 4. The point is, you don't get the same information you get with a controller as you do with a wheel, so if you're playing F4 with a wheel and you now have to switch to a controller for F5, what are you basing this physics improvement upon?

The point is you don't have the slightest clue what your talking about. You really need to go to sit down and play Forza 5 with the Xbox Controller so you can see what they've really done here. Its far more sophisticated than rumble breh. Each trigger has individualized rumble motors that do a great job recreating the force feedback phenomenon seen in classic arcade racing wheels. Its something they really need to be applauded for actually.

I played BF4 wit the Xbox controller & was not impressed with the rumble at all

Maybe battlefield didn't do it right or something

Some say GT5 looks better, but the sound is shytty in both, Peeked over to neogaf (shudder!) They straight shytting on this game :laff:

that also shows why it's easy for them to have so much content. they obviously reuse assets. it's the exact same track

I've yet to shyt on Forza's physics. It would be stupid to do so as I don't own the game. I was simply referring to @MeachTheMonster post calling GTs physics shytty when I know none of the FM5 players here play it with a wheel.

So let me ask this then, since the controller is so awesome at portraying the new and greatly upgraded physics of Forza 5. In what way have the physics improved over FM4? and miss me with the "you have to play it with the controller/I can't explain it" mess. If you ask a PC sim racer in what ways does Asseto Corsa differs from iRacing physics wise you'd get specifics not broad generalizations.

I love the rumble triggers on 2k and forza. Ps4 is good too. When does GT 7 Prologue coming out for ps4?
