If two franchises sell the same amount of games in the same amount of years I'd say their popularity is pretty equal.
first of all, its not equal and THINK about what you just posted.

I think all that turkey had a negative effect on your trolling.

Forza is clear and away the preeminent racer of console racers and has been so since the release of Forza 4. GT fan boys are truly delusional if they feel GT is still being taken seriously as a video game car racing sim. GT honestly hasn't been relevant since Grand Turismo 2 on Pkaystation 2. Sorry if that makes the fun boys upset.

:patrice: Tell em Meach! These playstanleys don't know nothing about math.
Forza sold 10 million overall since 2005.

Since GT5 prologue, the gran turismo series only sold 15 million counting those two games. Basically, prologue is not even a real game so they even out. GT5 got most of it's sales from Europe but we in the US so that don't count so in reality Forza sold more. Plus who's still playing GT5?? People are playing Forza 5 therefore it is more popular. These playstanleys are silly :heh:

I've yet to shyt on Forza's physics. It would be stupid to do so as I don't own the game. I was simply referring to @MeachTheMonster post calling GTs physics shytty when I know none of the FM5 players here play it with a wheel.

So let me ask this then, since the controller is so awesome at portraying the new and greatly upgraded physics of Forza 5. In what way have the physics improved over FM4? and miss me with the "you have to play it with the controller/I can't explain it" mess. If you ask a PC sim racer in what ways does Asseto Corsa differs from iRacing physics wise you'd get specifics not broad generalizations.

You actually have to fight to keep the car under control. You can feel when the tires loose grip individually. With the rumble triggers you can feel when the breaks lock up or when the tires are spinning, therefore you can take the car to its limits just by using feel. These limits are different with each car as they should be and the rumble triggers help to enhance those differences in a tangible way.

Just like driving a real super car, any loss of concentration means you will loose control of the car. There is a constant sense of danger and excitement in the Forza games that is just not there in the GT series.

Shoulda just dropped on the great station 4.

Are there really ps2 models in the game tho?

-DMP-
Those are PS1 models from the looks of it. Not very impressive considering we've been playing premier racing titles such as Forza for the longest. It's embarrassing really. Playstanelys :snoop:

Forza has sold 13 million over the course of last gen GT has sold 14.

Like I said for the ps360 era the games are very close in popularity.

Exactly, when I played Forza 5 I had to constantly adjust my fingers in relation to how much I slammed the brakes in game. The feeling of the motors rumbling are reminiscent of really driving a car and I know how it is because I drive a 02 Lancer everyday so I know the real feel of driving. Plus the drivatars are REAL!! I go to work and some people cut me off and speed ahead of me when I slow down and the game does it just like that too. The engrossing experience of Forza 5 is second to none.

Yup. GT isn't really that popular. I mean look at this.
Since the franchise's debut in December 1997, over 70 million units have been sold worldwide for the PlayStation, PlayStation 2,PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Portable, making it the highest selling video game franchise under the PlayStation brand.[1]
You basically strip out the rest of the world, a few PS1 titles and PS2 titles and they're neck and neck in sales. Playstanleys won't admit it's on par with Forza though..
