Cap…

Outside of the Jazzmatazz albums, Guru’s solo albums were mid.

Dont get me started on that album he did with Solar.

The fucc was he thinkin doin that???

He could have called T-Pain and hopped on the “Can u Believe it” remix
You just gone take Gangstarr from him?

And his solo career, meaning when he used another producer in his case, pretty much is the Jazzmatazz albums.

That’s like 6 certified classic albums.

Step In The Arena
Daily Operation
Hard to Earn
Moment of Truth
Jazzmatazz 1
Jazzmatazz 3

That Solar shyt don’t count he was 60 and washed.

I haven't played the video, but I'm assuming he's taking the Gang Starr albums into consideration.

Outside of the first two or maybe three Jazzmatazz albums, there ain't nothing else from Guru worth listening to outside of the Gang Starr records (Step in the Arena, Daily Operation, Hard to Earn, and Moment of Truth) and Jazzmatazz 1, 2, and 3 (also known as Streetsoul).

I don't know if I'd agree with that notion of Guru having a better catalog than Nas, and I fuk with Gang Starr/Guru, but nah.

This Bullwinkle in the face ass mug is a Jigga fanatic, for context purposes. Guru isn’t the same caliber rapper as Nas but 🤷🏽‍♂️, I can respect the opinion, Guru and Premier have a couple great bodies of work together. Nothing on the level of Illmatic or even Stillmatic, or IWW…but that’s my opinion, 🤷🏽‍♂️

Wtf be up lol

Nas, Pac and Jay can go weeks on end without being heavily discussed then randomly for about a week straight cats be speaking on them or say outlandish shyt being whatever then shyt dies back down

To quote jay "i guess its just the penalty of leadership".

It comes with being great, nobody says thjs stupid shyt about Tyga.

This is an odd comparison Nas is a whole other generation (even tho Guru was still out)

Guru had a conversational 90s flow in the mid 80s, Guru, Rakim and Slick Rick were way ahead of they time

Guru vs Rakim would be a better match

And when people front on Jazzmatazz 4 I KNOW they didn't listen to it. solar had his "name" on it but he had nothing to do with that musically
That was Guru's swan song 9.5 outta 10 damn near classic album and everything before that is crazy solid

Guru had a solid 20 years 1987-2007 with no missteps no weak shyt I don't count anything after that

Thinking about this shyt its a LOT closer than you would think....I wouldn't be mad if anyone went with Nas or Guru

MASTA ACE is another one where it would be close his catalog is basically flawless
