he is literally a cheaper Drake because he does his own production (I'm sure he is forced to if wants his budget to go towards promo). The reason he is around is strictly because of the 360 deal (easier investment to preserve longevity).

:damn: Talk that shyt, son!!! Cole stans on sui watch :wow:

Dude got 4 albums and 0 close calls to a classic. Drake at least has Take Care (not a classic but belongs in the discussion).

Really? I never cared for that album (or any Drake album for that matter). You can't be in the classic discussion if at least half your album aint classic. Let's make it easier. What 7 songs on Take Care are hip hop classics? Bangers that we'll playing decades from now?

I, in no way, cosign Take Care, or any Drake album as a classic. It can be discussed tho; because Drake was the best Drake (although inspired by the Weeknd) on that album.

1. Take A Shot For Me
2. Over My Dead Body
3. Crew Love
4. Take Care
5. the song with 3k
6. Hell Yea
7. Cameras
8. Look What You've Done
9. The Ride
10. Marvins Room
11. Practice

There are also promo records that didnt make that album that set trends (that so you know its real track with Ross) since then he has been on his blatent Shang Tsung steez.

No J.Cole albums are allowed into the classic discussion. Peep my sig.

I hear ya, breh

I could care less about any of those songs. They're trash or borderline to me :yeshrug: I never liked RnB Drake.

The production and shyt he was spitting in that 0-100/"Know Yourself"/"10 Bands" era is by far the most impressive I've heard from Drake. And even that stuff's like "this is cool, but not fukking with the upper echelon of hip hop."

imagine if all these insecure Drake haters took Drake off their mind and used all that energy to have original, worthwhile opinions. Instead of begging for daps, stalking and negging people with higher IQs than them. The message board would be transformed overnight :wow:

I look at every artists label/crew as a reflection of the artist themself.

J. Cole = an okay at best artists that lacks anything truly special to be around so long

ladies and gentleman.....the entire Dreamville Records

Drake = someone who can make hits but not any worthwhile body of work

ladies and gentelman....the entire OVO

Kendrick Lamar = a talented artist who was a bit forced on to the public but there is no denying the talent

ladies and gentleman....the entire TDE.

Isaiah Rashad, Jay Rock, SZA and Ab Soul all have at least one solid appreciated body of work in their catalogue; just like their leader Kenny.

you mean Quentin Miller? :mjlol:

R&B Drake is the most authentic form of Drake/Cell that exists.

It's more like if you can't get anyone to listen to you or agree with you or take you seriously.... Start shytting on drake and at least you'll get the support of a few basement dwellers.

@hex and @10bands50bands100bandsQM

Made a complete posting career of it. Nobody knows them for anything else.
:mjlol: @ this nikka crying like a bytch about me ever since I exposed him for having no black friends and putting white hoes on a pedestal

Another stan post and his familiar subjects passing daps. It's no wonder most of you are deep in the red. Trash opinions on all fronts. Stanning Drake is just one of them. :umad:

Hilarious. You got a canadian c00n with no black friends, a 42 year old canadian bum with a grey beard, and a UK-Nigerian fakkit banding together like they're cool and everyone else is just haters :mjlol:

cmon breh. You're a man of a certain age. You know what urban music is. It's Black pop for the most part.

What is the definition of urban music?

Musical genre of the 1980s and '90s defined by recordings by rhythm-and-blues or soul artists with broad crossover appeal. Urban contemporary began as an American radio format designed to appeal to advertisers who felt that “black radio” would not reach a wide enough audience.

Made forever? nah. Mainstream hip hop in 2006 meant something totally different in 1996 as it did in 1986.

Drake's in the same vein as Chris Brown and them nikkas, in terms of that broad crossover appeal shyt. Even to this day. Hip hop-supported RnB pop. That's Drizzy's lane from jump.

Nah, said I didn't know what "Urban Pop" was

You're going to deep with it

Drake's first two songs were no different than any other radio single sonically

Best I Ever had was something that LL could've made

Successful is something that any rapper going for a motivational anthem could've made

It's not Urban Pop, it's mainstream hip hop

Nah, said I didn't know what "Urban Pop" was

Gotcha.

Yeah, the term "urban pop" doesn't really exist like that. I meant it as urban/pop because by the 2000s, hip hop had gone pop.

Best I Ever had was something that LL could've made

I agree with you 90%. But even "Best I Ever Had" is more sugary than "Luv U Better".

Successful is something that any rapper going for a motivational anthem could've made

sure. My larger point is that by the mid 2000s, mainstream hip hop = pop.

in the mid 90s, mainstream hip hop =/= pop.
