The problem with this assumption is not thinking those players wouldnt adapt to those times. Especially considering that is their job, so it either adapt or be out of the league or some middling team. I think if Reggie Miller could survive those times, and he was a frail off-ball gunner with a little bit of a floor game, I think most of those players could adapt afterwhile.

Thank you. If Reggie Miller and Mark Price and Kevin Johnson and John Stock could be all-star guards then why the fukk couldn't Curry, CP3, Wall, Beal, Kyrie, and Lillard?

Yea the whole perfect in the finals talking point is silly when the other guy in the argument damn near went twice as many times

Bron would have went to at least a couple Finals against them 80s teams. Jordan had to transform his body to compete. Bron came in the NBA with a vets body.

Jordan is #1 still for other reasons but folks gotta let Bron enjoy his roses while he stacking up rings. The hater shyt is dumb.

Maybe if he joined the Showtime Lakers....If you replace him with Jordan on those Bulls teams from '84-'90, he's not getting passed the

Celtics, or Bad Boy Pistons.Pippen was drafted in '87, but he wasn't some blue chip prospect who hit the ground running. He took like 3 yrs

to develop.Ironically, Bron probably would've jumped ship to the Cavs.Joining forces with Mark Price & Brad Daugherty to put them over the top.

the ether
We're posting 5-year-old statements like they breaking news now...LBJ hadn't even beat the Warriors yet when he said this. :mjlol:

Anyone who doesn't realize that guys have a vested interest in big-upping whatever era they played in ain't been paying attention. We're constantly having 80s players talk about the 80s, 90s players claim the 90s were the shyt, 00s guys say that was the toughest....90% of players are going to say their own era was the best. Don't look to them for objective takes.

didnt say that. but when they get to the finals, they win it. Timmy was a corner 3 away from MJ's record

if u give those guys 10 finals, they getting 7 or 8

but we are supposed to be cool with just getting to the finals, clearly. consolation prizes i see

Who cares? Losing before you get to the finals isn’t better than losing at them. At worst, they’re the same. It doesn’t matter if you’re the best finals performer ever if you can’t get to the finals consistently so why are you giving them bonus points?

This post makes little sense. Once MJ’s team was good enough to get there, he got to the finals consistently and same with Bron. Once Bron put together a team good enough, he got to the finals consistently. Mike went 6-0 and Bron currently 4-6.

“Jordan was a far more superior player in a very tough league”

Them warrior teams and spurs teams would’ve beat them bulls ass. When he says “tough league” is he taking about the competition
:patrice:
He may be talking about tough players in the league Then. I may be in the minority but a prime MJ or Gary Payton would’ve given curry some problems on defense.
