But yeah Hakeem is an elite offensive player as he is a defensive player. No one else has that distinction. On top of being an underrated passer. And his game can literally be played in any era

Hm i still see him on a lot of people's top 10 lists so i wouldn't say he's necessarily underrated, maybe just not talked about as much as other top 10 players

Jabber, Wilt, Russell, Duncan, Shaq…

If all five of those players are still in the top 10, Hakeem pushing out Jordan, Bron, Magic, Bird, or Kobe out?

Skill wise, I can see the argument. I’d put him over Wilt, Kareem, Russell and Shaq.

Career wise, he is a solid top 15. Second tier legend. Oscar, West, Malone, Dirk, KD, Barkley, Garnett, Moses Malone, Giannis level.

I’d put Curry at 11 and Dream at 12. Sorry Oscar.

It's actually super impressive how well Hakeem has stayed in shape over the years. Dude was a gifted athlete and still had a great Ball IQ.

Was dominating and showing real star potential post all star break until he went down with a serious knee injury against the Kings...they had to bring out wheelchair for him. It's not looking good after watching replay. If it's a torn ACL he has a long road to recovery.

We’re losing recipes Top 10 is not your personal favorite, or based on just talent, or bag, or eye test. It is overall resume. Based on resume, at BEST Hakeem squeaks into the top 10. But him being an amazingly talented player is not the final criteria

It’s a point that’s lost on the new generation bc mfers are so egotistical they can’t respect anything they didn’t see or that they don’t visually prefer. Ie, Hakeem is more talented than Shaq. But it ain’t even a debate that Shaq is better all time
