Most american's don't actually own these assets you speak of. Compared to other countries, credit is easily available especially to those that can't make the monthly payments in the USA. The nice homes and cars you see aren't owned by the people stunting in em. They are actually owned by the bank or a financial institution.

I'm still calling ducktales on that $27,000 a year figure.

I'm serious. 8 people work part time at McDonalds raking 80k total, and two people are salaried at Exxon Mobil making 60k a year. You now have spread 200k out over 10 people and you have a bad average at 20k/person.

You can't get a decent house for less than half a mill. though.

That's the kicker.:manny:

You can get out of the hood for less than a Quarter in Chicago.

I was looking at houses in Cali after looking at that $200,000 houses in Alabama thread. A 2 bedroom house in southern Cali and in Long Island New York is a mini mansion in Georgia

Sound Reasoning
I mean, what is one supposed to do with this information though? Get upset over wages that he doesn't control?

What I will say is this though, this recession is like a refining process....its really showing who's who. Most people are so accustomed to getting "put on" that the idea of not having enough "middle class" jobs, which is the epitome of getting "put on", scares the sh#t out of them. Most people don't have any idea of how to make money....they just know how to work....there's a difference.

The middle class is shrinking because the middle class model is becoming obsolete in a society that is becoming less and less in need of a beholden "skilled" workforce to work and manage its business and facilities. For example, I knew people were in trouble when I started seeing "Self-Checkout" lines at stores and Borders bookstores closing up because of Amazon....automation and the internet are making brick and mortar establishments as well as the employees/managers that work them more and more obsolete.

It's going to get rougher and rougher for people who are waiting for Fortune 500 companies to give them the "American Dream."

Peace

Why don't you share how to make money with the rest of the class?
