But nobody has him ahead of Lebron. He has never willed his team to wins in the same way. Not a Lebron Stan, but KD gotta do some epic shyt to ever surpass Lebron historically
This is fact but only doesn't go over well here because this board is one of the more Anti-LeBron places on the web. The KD love isn't even always real, sometimes its just to shyt on Bron...
As I've said many times before, their careers have overlapped for 14 years. We've all gotten to watch them both in real time at the same time. No one I've ever met is confused about who the greater player historically is, and it really isn't close, and this is accounting for Durant Stans you meet in real life or guys who prefer Durant over Bron, those people exist...
And I've never in person met anybody who thinks Durant is really even close to LeBron player-for-player on a historical sense...
The play for KD to pass Bron historically was to stay in GS and keep racking chips; that may not have even been enough but it would have been his only shot. Understanding Kev is 4 years younger, KD didn't even become an equal to Bron in real time until Y10 or Y11 ('17 or '18), so even if he's better than Bron now
at best he's been better than Bron for 4 of his 14 years, and 4 is really a generous, pro-Durant slant...
Career-to-career, Bron was better at every single point. Rookie year vs rookie year, Y2 vs Y2, Y3 vs Y3, so on and so forth. Kevin is in Y14 right now and while I think you could definitely make an argument Y14 Kev is the equal of Y14 Bron (which was 2017 Bron), there is no real argument that Y14 Kev is
better than Y14 Bron, and thats the entire Bron/KD thing in a nutshell. There is no point in Durant's career that you can make a definitive case for him as greater than Bron at the exact same age, yet this silly ass forum wants us to believe '14 Durant was greater than Bron since KD won the MVP that year, despite Bron winning 4 of the 5 previous MVPs; this goofy ass board wants cats to think '16 Durant was greater than '16 Bron despite Bron playing to a substantially higher degree vs the same team that Durant choked against, a degree that many people feel is the highest individual performance in NBA history (Bron's '16 Finals performance)...
Durant has a really good playoff legacy himself but its not even in the same stratosphere of LeBron's, strictly talking what we've watched both do on the biggest stages, in the playoffs, over the course of their careers. Its not even close by any imaginable stretch but this nut ass forum wants you to believe Durant is somehow a historical peer to Bron...
I talk ball with people ALL THE TIME. You dont even have to come with all this shyt in real life because no one in real life is comparing the two the way you hear on here. And people love KD, clearly one of the very best ever. He isn't Bron...
It would literally take an unimaginable run of him going on multiple championship runs playing at his current level with an ever-advancing age and injury history to usurp Bron's work, and that may not even be enough because we all literally watched both of their careers side by side for 14 years (and counting)...
