T.i. went from Multi plat with paper trail to barely scratching gold on his next album and steadily went downhill from there.

Nas debuted in 1994 and was selling more records in 2012 than he was in 1994. That's 18 years after his debut. Dude has three or four double platinum albums, like four or five more than went platinum and a couple of gold albums. And on top of that, he's considered one of the best to ever do it.

If tables were turned, and somebody were to say Wayne, ya'll would be working over time posting Billboard articles.

I can back up Wayne's success with actual tangible proof though.

He still goes gold and platinum, still featured on all the hottest artists albums, streams are still high AF, still breaks billboard records, still holds all the billboard records (only person on his level/above him is Drake)

The same can't be said for Nasir Jones

But then again...it seems that Nas isn't invested into the music as much as Wayne. Wayne loves making music

But are we talking about musical relevancy? I guess it depends on the criteria.

Breh, Paper Trail was T.I.'s sixth album and also the biggest album of his career at that point. His next album came out two years later after a jail stint and he went right back in on the eve of said album. That's not a rapid decline.

so i'm gonna go with lyrically as the criteria like @lovejayelectua did who said nore in post #15 and say snoop. snoop was considered one of the nicest emcees in the game when he debuted on the chronic let alone doggystyle and by his sophomore he became hot trash that somehow lost his swaggy delivery & confidence. by the time we got to no limit down 4 my nikkaz snoop it was an abomination lyrically. obviously he made MONSTER hits after that and has had an amazing career that is still going strong but lyrically? he never reached his potential. from '92 to '94 snoop was the man
