marry a woman that comes from wealth:yeshrug: I said comes from wealth, "not wealthy"
Rich girls :mjlol:
Might as well sign the papers now :dame:
Nothing worse than a entitled, out-of-touch woman with overreaching standards who had too much freedom and too much money when she was a teenager :dame:
Might as well IV her MDMA, cocaine and an STD :dame:

Folks are clearly not understandin' the 3.3% vs 2.5%. It's a year over year number. If you read the next sentence, it clearly says, "In other words, their marriages are one-third more likely to break up."

That's a lot!
1/3 more likely than the 2.5% it's honestly not that much.
This is why stats are an important class for everyone to take.

Sound Reasoning
I think a husband should be gainfully employed. If you going into a marriage and working full time and then become lazy professionally; you are not not keeping up your end of the deal.

To me that is a bait and switch...

I had an uncle who had a corporate job before and at the beginning of his marriage. He quit to pursue his dreams of being the next Famous Amos. :beli:

Needless to say, I still don't know what his ass does for a job to this day

So, he should have threw away his dreams just because he was married? Why wouldn't his wife support him the way she would most likely want him to support her following her dreams?

Maybe he did the corporate job to save the money needed to start the business? :ld:

Peace

I am 27 and have been thinking of about marriage but you never know what a woman's motive is. A lot of woman once they are done having their fun are settling for suckers:pachaha: that provide financial security lol. Hence why they are quick to bounce when it goes south

If the p value was less than .05, then the difference between the 2.5 and 3.3 is significant :yeshrug:

That is true, I work with people who grew up in priveledge households, black and white, they seem very out of touch.

I prefer women who worked for what they got. They can be better with money etc.

Lol naw, marrying a wife from a wealthy background should be every guys goal.

Women feel entitled period, might as well marry one who brings some thing to the table like wealth and connections for your children.

I'd have no problem divorcing a wealthy wife and receiving nothing. My only concern is that my children receive the benefits of having a two parents with connections or at least a mother who has family who are well connected.

I don't know about that. it's like y'all nikkas are looking for a momma or something.

A woman who worked for her wealth is actually more likely to divorce you than a woman who comes from wealth. Most women who come from wealth are more likely, use their family background to connect you with the right people. From what I encountered.

Having children and a wife is FIRST about connections for your children and then you.

Lmao who would even get married nowadays in America? I never read anything good about marriage over there, and this thread is doing nothing to dispel that notion
Marriage is big business. A lot of people make a living from it. Expert marriage marketing bamboozles couples every year.

Wedding industry in the United States - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The wedding industry in the United States is the providers of services and goods for weddings in the U.S., taken as a whole. Every year in the United States, there are approximately 2.5 million weddings. The following provides a sociological overview of how the wedding industry functions in the United States, cultural and social elements of the event and how it has become the economic giant seen today. The article will also discuss elements of the wedding process that generate major revenue for many major corporations each year. This includes clothes, flowers, music and many other elements that are a part of the ceremony, reception, honeymoon, and bachelor and bachelorette parties.

The $51 Billion Wedding Industry Toasts a Post-DOMA Bump

American weddings are a $51 billion industry that employs nearly 800,000 people, according to the market-research firm IBISWorld. A 2009 study from the University of California at Los Angeles’s Williams Institute estimated that New Jersey would generate $15.1 million in new revenue if the state legalized gay marriage. That same year the New York City Comptroller’s Office estimated that the city would gain more than $200 million in revenue from gay weddings over a three-year span. Jody Hall, owner of Seattle chain Cupcake Royale, says her wedding-related business has doubled since gay marriage was legalized in Washington State in November. Long a supporter of gay marriage initiatives, she now realizes “it’s inadvertently been a great business strategy.”

Peace

He was married with two kids...

His dream was detrimental to the commitment he made... He should have kept his dreams a hobby until it was profitable

Why would you want somebody doing badly? :mjlol:

I'm not saying chicks should go out of their way to look for broke men

But to make that a primary motivation as to who they fall for is not honorable

Prior to women getting rights to work they had no choice but to look to men to be providers but now they proudly exclaim they don't need a man's money and have been screaming that shyt for decades now. Its no secret women only like the gender roles that favor them

It's not a coincidence that women of this era struggle with getting and or maintaining a man more than any other era of women in recorded history
