I live in LA, I know the score. I am simply waiting for people to show their hand before I jump to the defense. There are a handful of powerful black people in Hollywood. The people doing the power plays are almost all-Jewish men (gay or straight) in the film/TV business. This is a predominantly black site. Black people are constantly shytted on, but like I said... where was all this support when Monique was getting destroyed by the industry machine with Lee Daniels' blessing.
Let Jolie, Paltrow, and the rest of these white women fight their own battles. If black women start talking, then we'll address it. Meryl Streep and others trying to pretend they didn't know and the capes just fly on.
I get that. But most of the cats in here are mad at the fact it happens period. Not that it’s happening in Hollywood. If I can name black women in dc who deal with that type of shyt here then I don’t need to hear black women in la talk about men being a$$holes to empathize or be on their side.
