i listened to the boldy james project for the first time today and i wont say that its wack, because it wasnt ... but it was way overhyped for what it was

there was some bangers on there but at the same time there was a lot of beats with too many samples and just generally hard to listen to

theres a beat on there with some offbeat bell type of sound and it made no sense ...... it was actually graining to hear

the curren$y project was dope, im a stan of curren$y anyway but the beats just seemed alot cleaner on that record

i prefer his newer sound.

i feel like alc has really found his "groove" now. it's like parts prog rock, part soul and part "old school sci-fi" type of vibe. i've listened to 5 projects from him in the more recent style:

Covert Coup (where it started for me)
Rare Chandeliers
Albert Einstein
My First Chemistri Set
No Idols

beats all have the same type of style yet the albums still feel different.

When you have as much shyt out there as Al, there's gonna be some you don't feel. You can say that about anyone, though. He's still the best out right now, period.

My 1st Chemistry Set is slept on.
He may have not had as many songs dropping back in the day but ya the quality was better. 1st Infantry is still his best work IMO.
