50 doing that SMS shyt was the nail in the coffin

G Unit records wasn't in competition with Shady or Aftermath, G Unit was under them so it's a good chance out of G Unit, Aftermath, and Interscope, G-Unit saw the least amount of profit off G Unit record sales

Far as clothing lines, no clue how that works but Shady wasn't that big of a clothing line anyway and Em didn't go hard with promoting it

Whatever few dollars G Unit clothing made didn't mean much to Dre and Em because they were already rich as hell before 50 and was already caking from his music sales

But for him to go into direct competition with Beats instead of helping promote beats itself was a big contributor to his downfall

Crazy how he the one who brought the 48 to the public and was such an advocate he did a book with the nikka who created it

Then he turns around and violated the very first law: Never Outshine The Master

Prolly woulda made a lot more money getting down with Beats than going into competition with them and wouldn't be on damn near blackball status

Dre was really doing records with Ross while Ross and 50 were beefing and even showed up at Ross' birthday party with a $100k watch for him

That shyt was a message to 50

When Dr. Dre came through and gave Ross that watch, I knew the entire rap game turned on Fif.

Fif Dropped his last album when Nate Dogg was still alive (barely)

SOHH ICEY N.O.
I was just thinking about this the other day :ohhh:

1. Fif has actually been trying to realest music...he has been dropping a flopped single at least every 6 months for going on 5 years straight...he had a single with Adam Levine...he had a single with Eminem...how the fukk can you not have a hit with Eminem involved in it in anyway...:dwillhuh:...Didn't he have a song with Alicia keys as well...:dwillhuh:

2. To me all his flopped songs sound the same as his hits back from what...2000-2004...so what does that say about music back then...was his hits really that good :patrice:...was it all promotion:patrice:...did music listeners just have that bad a taste in music :patrice:...was it pay for play :patrice:...has music really changed so much that doing the same thing now that you did back then is not only unsuccessfully...it is so wildly unsuccessful as to be ridiculed...

3. Where is Jimmy Iovine in all of this? Does he still have the same position at Interscope..:lupe:...is he really jerking Curtis around :lupe:...Curtis went from saying he was Mr Interscope to fukk JImmy Iovine and now he can't release an album :lupe:

4. 50 done fell off so far that for that "hate being sober" song...this nikka chief keef didn't even show up for the video shoot...they got all these pictures on the net of 50 just in the dessert waiting on chiefy...like...is 50 so irrelevant now that teenage rappers will just ignore him and not even show up to a video shoot:lupe:...can you imagine Nas doing a video with anybody and the person just not even showing up...then when 50 went on some "if i can give you some advice young man" tip Keef replied with the "you mad bro?"....

50 Centurions can ride out and fight for their king all they want...can mention all the money he has...but the fact of the matter is that he has been actively trying to build a buzz musically for going on 5 years...getting some of the biggest names in music on his songs...and they have still flopped so bad that interscope won't even let him put an album out...

Somebody said he was to busy...he wasn't to busy to go sit in a dessert for a day waiting for chief keef to show up for a video shoot :lupe:

To put it in perspective...the last time 50 released an album TI was just a trap rapper...TI has gone from trap rapper...to snitch...to borderline pop star...to reality television star...to movie star...and 50 still has not released an album:lupe:
nikka said "TI has gone from trap rapper...to snitch...to borderline pop star...to reality television star...to movie star"

Sometime around 2008 his singles got really weak. His mixtapes were still dope. His singles stayed wack. His mixtapes remained dope. Then his singles even got dope (We Up/Major Distribution).

There's more to it than being pushed back than just the impact of his singles. It's obvious. There's a lot of politics there.

His fans just stopped checking for his music. It's sad because I'm one of them.

50 is one of my all time favorite rappers. I'll stan him til the death of me. But truth is I haven't checked for his music in years :yeshrug:
thats you. his real fans been there every step of the way :yeshrug:

with that said, its not like he's necessarily dropped any surefire hits....that song with Em and the one cat was a hit for one full day lol

And he's still top 3 influential mc to the new rappers, still more relevant than one hit wonders, and has been consistent but like Wayne it's not as trendy too like them even though their talent hasn't really gone down.

It goes Kanye, Wayne, and 50 as far as these new rappers go. Jays somewhere in the background with Em

Plus Dre worked with Ross on "God Forgives, I don't" album with "3 Kings" :youngsabo:

Face it, even Fif's superiors that made him don't want to fukk with him anymore.
