Has Bernie built a big enough coalition to form a viable 3rd party?

He didn't have enough to win the Democratic Primary? He has no viable coalition, period.
Uh he came in second and is one of the top non-Republican candidates amongst Republicans. And Biden is biting his platform positions left and right. Why? If there is no viable coalition?

A viable third party is literally inviting the Republicans to reign supreme forever :mjlol:

The Republicans are mad happy that the libertarians are so weak.
A third party can be an America First party, not a European-like social democracy/social liberal party.

The way this system is set up is for a two party heads up battle, if we would have a French system which is basically rounds, and in the last round only two parties stand. Then a third or even fourth party would work. And practically speaking that's really what we have now, if Bernie would win the democratic round, and the presidential election. Then like Trump, the party would back him. People forget that Trump was a lot more hated in the GOP than bernie is in the DNC, but they had to fall in line when they realized that this was gonna be their leader.

Forming an official party gives movements like OWS some organization and leadership that Bernie was able to sort of put in place, only to herd the majority of the sheep to the democratic party.

fukk that....at the very least, it gives the people an official platform and voting bloc rather than a bunch of loose leaf people who mostly agree on the basics but still listen to the media and other people as to what's really possible.

If dems would rather let republicans reign supreme than listen to the people then they can die. You think they'll lose and lose and lose and lose with no concessions and survive as a party? They won't, they are dying as we speak and looking to US for an injection of life so they can retool and create another Obama level conman who can sound believable with populist rhetoric and still sell the fukk out.

At best, we become essential to cater for backing or we run our own candidates to make sure dems lose enough to die the fukk out. Maybe p*ssy hat democrats will be uncomfortable enough to actually stand in solidarity with the poor and working class at that point, I really don't care. Because at this rate electoral politics is going to have to take a backseat to direct action. The best it can possibly do is provide a frame work for actual organization.

Dems just won the house back in 2018. Leftist candidates flipped zero seats. Explain that.

My bad. I would definitely be Ok with Trump over Bernie. You right, but I would never actually pull a lever for Trump.
:mjlol:

Breh, dont ever try to guilt trip someone into voting again.

Literally in here talking down to people for entertaining a 2nd trump term when you're fine with a trump presidency.

step one is realizing that, thats good
step two is moving forward with that knowledge and acting accordingly, not ignoring it like they did again this time

Imo acting accordingly is ignoring politics and taking care of your own. If you're a progressive expecting progressive politics in this country, then you're setting yourself up for disappointment.

Stop worrying about shyt you have no control over and figure out how to navigate in this shythole country

No fukking way that’s true , trump doesn’t challenge wealthy people’s money , Bernie at least in theory does, major difference, it’s why capital will always break fascist, the right in no way hates trump more than the dnc hates bernie , trump hasn’t governed any different than any republican, the only difference is in rhetoric , Bernie wouldve attempted to govern differently than an average democrat.

This is one of the issues.

Bernie types aren't really wanted by the Democratic Party. See all of the "he's not even a REAL democrat" rhetoric
AND
Democrats don't want Bernie types to leave (with their supporters) because it'd hurt the party.
This is what I dont understand about anyone opposed to creating a progressive party.

Democrats spent the entire primary telling Bernie and his bros to start their own party, then flip out when they start talking about creating their own party.

This is exactly what Democrats told progressives to do.
