I agree. No classics for the Wii U but that doesn't mean Nintendo put out bad software. They put out some really great games for that system, just nothing on the level of BOTW or SM Galaxy.
What Im saying that if you take Nintendo simply at its software resume, it's the best by far. No other company is even close at this point. 35+ years of delivery.
If Nintendo developed for XBox, PS and PC, every single release would be at the top of the charts.

You need to stop smoking whatever it is you high on. Super Mario 3D World is a certified classic game if you've ever played it. Also, Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Brothers Wii U are amazing games and damn near classics as well. Pokken Tournament, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and Splatoon are other great Wii U games.
The energy in the air from how this game is being received minds me of how the world reacted to Mario 64 dropping 21 years ago.
I had no choice but to get the Switch when I found out I could get 200 bucks towards it if I trade in my Wii U - which no one wants. So my boy will be hooking me up with one as soon as its available (he got first dibs on pre-order stock). When I do get it, it'll be collecting dust because I have so much stuff on PS4 to wrap up or start....
