Has there ever been a hip hop superstar with less personality or charisma than Travis Scott?

He’s very visible And basically known for his personality by the new gen of rap fans ...search on YouTube he has tons of interviews, show appearances, comedy sketch stuff etc...his love life at one point was super public.::

I have no idea what I’m even reading in here..because he hasn’t played a character like rick Ross in a breakfast club interview, he doesn’t havent a personality :mindblown:

Once these nikkas reach certain heights of success and hype they tend to move a little More discreet..to avoid being memed all day...drake is the only exception , he feeds into that shyt
Nah man this is pretty damning

His energetic personality shows when he’s performing can’t say that for a lot of rappers past or present

it’s a guy talking to a girl he’s smashing in a playful convo

didn’t see but I’m sure it’s what I’d expect...giggly and doing extra shyt...I saw something like that with rocky and Rihanna, and he was basically full of smiles and blushes with weird jokes
Talking? I don’t think he does that in this video

Don’t really care for TS outside his hits, but you know most nikkas on this forum in they late 30s/ early 40s so take that in consideration.

don't matter to me as long as the music is good. i don't blame rappers for just getting in and out of the studio without trying to be a "personality" or have "charisma"... rap fans find a way to hate on them, bytch and complain regardless. just get money

Maybe it's not a coincidence that they picked Travis for an AI to recreate.

I do like his music, but yeah he definitely doesn't have the big personality that all his peers have. I couldn't tell you what he's rapping about most the time but it sounds good.

His live show is insane. And him being kind of a "blank slate" otherwise may actually be a good thing for him as a corporate figure he can promote just about anything just by adding a faux-edgy flair to it.

We were talking about this in the McDonald's thread. Travis is a blank slate personality wise. He's connected to the Kardashians so that's an immediate question mark. It's weird, bro. He got the machine behind him and he's not fumbling musically like Chance did, so he's blowing up. His fan base is ravenous and extremely loyal and he's been building it for about 6 years now. I just remember all the hype around Rodeo and being utterly confused because of how trash his shyt is. He's good for a couple of singles or bangers here and there but he's just not the artist people want to portray him as. He got a Super Bowls spot which is the most unprecedented thing I think I've ever seen in hip hop. That's like Snoop getting a half time spot years after Doggystyle, but making even less logical sense. Travis is probably the first really explicit artist beyond diddy and nelly (two artists who were bigger than him in their prime, moreso Nelly) and Kid Rock to have a spot like he did. His persona and aesthetic is very dark and not "family friendly", even beyond the explicit lyrics is his whole "creepy" Halloween-esque, dare I say devilish vibe that again has not been seen in any artist on the super bowl stage. The whole thing is sketchy. He's a plant for sure. I remember everyone talking up his production but you'd be hard pressed to find one song by him he produced himself for the past 6 years or so.

@noumena do you have a link to the McDonald's thread?
