Rules is the rules brehMorgan freeman
Sure he has more classics than will Smith but I've watched Will Smiths movies multiple times
So the net joy and entertainment brought into my life is lowest with Morgan freeman since I've watch most of his movies only once
Considering I rewatch fresh prince like once every year or 2 imma say YES.Rules is the rules breh
You giving up all those classics for Fresh Prince and Bad Boys?
No judgement here brodieConsidering I rewatch fresh prince like once every year or 2 imma say YES.

i mentioned seven and the sixth sense. movies that typically don't hit the same once you know the mystery or riddles they revolve around.
basically the m knight template to film making, sixth sense falls in that category despite him not being involved with it. it uses the same template.
Departed has twists, but its far more of a character study and traditional mafia film
So, Beverly Hills Cop, Harlem Nights, 48 Hours, Trading Places, Boomerang, Delirious, and Raw, aren't classic or important?
Anyone saying Morgan Freeman…

Sam. I don't know any movie that he played in that is a much watch for me except cameos and bit roles in "Juice" & "Coming To America"
I've never seen any of thosePulp Fiction, Hateful Eight?
Seven isn't a character study? The entire movie is more about Somerset and his internal struggle as a detective than it is a legit mystery, I'd argue it's not a mystery at all and more of a thriller. The killer gives himself up, it's not like Gwenyth Paltrow is missing the entire movie and the twist is the box scene. Seven and sixth sense are not comparable, it's not a huge lead up to a 'gotcha' at the end, you said 'I already know what's in the box' as if that's as important to the movie as any twist in a Shyamalan movie. The Departed is anything but a traditional mob film, plus it was just an example, I also said 12 angry men.
Beverly Hills Cop and Coming To America could be considered classics, but they're just fun movies, they didn't do anything different or have great performances, they're essentially like 80's versions of 21 Jump Street (2012). Culturally relevant, but that's it.
Gotta be Will

I'm not a huge Tarantino guy, but Pulp Fiction especially is a fun watch.I've never seen any of those
It should right? Otherwise, any popular, critically acclaimed movie could be considered a classic. To me, 'important/classic' should mean extremely culturally relevant or so significant that if it never existed, it would change how people made movies. I'm not saying they're bad, I just don't see what separates them from Pryor's movies other than quality. Even if it's arguable, is that enough to beat his competition? It seems like maybe comedy isn't your thing. Saying Coming to America and Beverly Hills Cop don't have great performances is crazy. Beverly Hills Cop essentially modernized the role of the wiseass protagonist in comedies/action comedies. Coming to America is written so that the main character is both a classic example and parody of the naive fish out of water archetype.
Even then, a movie doesn't necessarily need to do something different or have a game changing performance in order to be a classic or important.
